Moreira Is No.1 Pick For Fergie
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has put Portuguese keeper Jose Felipe Moreira at the top of his hit list. Ferguson sent brother Martin - United´s chief European scout - to watch the Benfica star shut out Porto as he seeks a long-term solution to his problem position. United have been checking on the 22-year-old for a few weeks, also sending a delegation to Benfica´s recent game with Sporting Lisbon. Moreira has plenty of experience for someone of his age and has played in European competition as well as being Portugal´s current second choice. Ferguson wants a new keeper at a reasonable price in the wake of Tim Howard and Roy Carroll´s poor form.

Kleberson Handed Last Chance
Kleberson was last night handed a final chance to salvage his faltering Manchester United career. The Brazilian midfield man, who is linked with a move to Corinthians, returned to training on Tuesday after an ankle op. But United boss Alex Ferguson insisted: " We are going to see how he does now he’s over this latest setback."

Frey: I will leave Parma
Sebastien Frey has declared that he will leave Parma in the summer and would definitely consider a move to Manchester United.
The highly-rated French keeper has been targeted by United for a number of years and, considering the fact that the Old Trafford outfit are likely to be seeking a new number one in the summer, Frey will undoubtedly feature again in the gossip columns.
Internazionale are also tracking the Gialloblu keeper and a desire to remain in Italy could mean the Giuseppe Meazza side are slight favourites to land the 24-year-old.
The ex-Cannes man played for Inter before arriving at Ennio Tardini.
" This is my last season at Parma," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
" I made sacrifices this year because everyone knows what situation Parma are in.
" I feel good here. I have a contract until 2007 but I can´t deny that my dream is to have an important experience and I think I deserve it.
" I have already been at Inter but I was young.
Now, with [Massimo] Moratti´s esteem, it would be beautiful but it´s hard to think about it.
" I see the problems facing Francesco Toldo. He is criticised and jeered for his first mistake.
I confess I have a little fear and many things would have to change in this aspect.
" The English idea is charming. Surely, Manchester are a big side but, in these years, I´ve become really attached to Italy.
" I don´t deny I could also stay in Italy.
" I admit I would like it."
Frey is now likely to remain silent until the close season as he focuses on life at Parma.
" I can´t think about these things - the future and what it will be - until the end of the season," he stated. " Because we will struggle until the end of the season to stay up.
" It´s a matter of respect towards the club and my team-mates.
" I don´t know what I will do. It isn´t known yet and it is too soon to tell it."

Fergie: Duo Will Be Best In The World
Prodigal talents Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo will emerge as two of the world´s best players - on a par with Barcelona´s Brazilian star Ronaldinho - according to Sir Alex Ferguson.
United possess arguably the two best young players in Europe but, in the view of Sir Alex, the quickly-maturing pair are fast entering an altogether different bracket of player.
Rooney, 19, and Ronaldo, 20, have been crucial to United´s form in the past four months offering an aggressively direct, skilful and youthful approach to the team´s forward play.
" Both of them are fantastic," says Sir Alex. " We´re very fortunate to have two young players who I think in the next few years will become world-class players.
" I think those two will be the best in the world alongside Ronaldinho at Barcelona, who is slightly older at about 23 or 24. They really are first-class players.
" Every week Wayne seems to be adding something to his game. He´s looking so strong at the moment," added the United boss.
Ronaldo can lay claim to the unfortunate honour of being the most-fouled player in the Premiership. It is a statistic that Ferguson believes illustrates how potent a threat Ronaldo is, and the nervousness he induces in opposing defenders.
" The one thing that statistic tells you is that he is giving defenders problems," notes Ferguson. " If they have to foul him and bring him down all the time, it tells you that he is doing what he does really well."
But it also poses the question of whether Ronaldo is protected enough by referees, a point Ferguson highlighted in United´s FA Cup victory over Everton recently.
" I was disappointed in the Everton game because I think there were nine fouls against him and no player got booked.
" Roy Keane had two fouls and got booked, but Arteta had six fouls on Ronaldo alone and never received a yellow card. We have that issue which is unfortunate. But it is a sign Ronaldo is doing something right."

Man Utd pair claim double award
Ferguson has won the award a record 15 times
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has won the Barclays Premiership manager of the month award for February.
The player of the month award has also gone to the Old Trafford club with striker Wayne Rooney claiming the gong.
United have won five out of six games in February, including beating Arsenal, with their only loss coming against AC Milan in the Champions League.
And Rooney has produced some sparkling form on the way to scoring four goals.

Frey favours Inter Milan over Man Utd
Parma No1 Sebastien Frey has confirmed he´s leaving the battling Serie A club at the end of this season.
The French international has revealed he´s considering offers from former club Inter Milan and Manchester United - and is leaning towards the Italian giants.
" The English idea is tempting," said Frey yesterday. " But I feel very attached to Italy after being here for so many years.
" I still have a house in Como. I feel I have unfinished business at Inter.
" I was only young when I played there. Now I am more mature and it would be wonderful to work again for Mr Moratti.
" But I must say the pressure placed on goalkeepers there is unsettling. I have seen what Francesco Toldo has been put through this season. One error and they criticise him and the fans hiss him."
He added: " This is my last season with Parma. I have a contract until 2007, but I want to experience playing for an important club."
