Suivant les traces de Square Enix ou encore d'EA, The Pokémon Company a mis la main à la poche pour encourager le mouvement Black Lives Matter et l'organisation NAACP.

Les soutiens se multiplient après le décès de George Floyd survenu le 25 mai 2020 à Minneapolis. Sur la scène vidéoludique, nous assistons au report d'une poignée d'événements, comme la présentation des jeux PlayStation 5 censée se tenir ce 4 juin, ou encore du jeu Cyberpunk 2077 . Certaines sociétés font également don de quelques milliers - ou million dans le cas d'EA - de dollars à la lutte pour la justice raciale.

C'est le cas de The Pokémon Company, qui reverse cette semaine 100 000 dollars au mouvement Black Lives Matter, et 100 000 dollars de plus à la National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), organisation américaine de défense des droits civiques. L'annonce est émise depuis leur compte Twitter.
