OK, I'm tired of people messaging me like I'm the devil and was the only person who spoke out about the guard break being broken. Again, these messages tend to be from people that didn't actually read the post. Here bellow is why I posted this and why ubisoft more then likely reverted the changes
When two people are going for a guard break, you use to still be able to hit the guard break key and counter out of your guard break to push them away, just like how you would counter a normal guard break while defending. Right now it's whoever touches the enemy player with their animation first wins the guard break and you have no chance to defend against it if you where also initiating a guard break.
TIL: If you guard break you can't guard against a guard break. In the beta you could guard break and still defend against another guard break. I also learned that characters have different guard break ranges and speed, so you can, as a faster guard break character, guard break AFTER someone starts their guard break animation on you, and you will power through theirs, cancelling their guard break, and giving the faster animated guard break and instant guard break on you.
THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE NEW TIMING. IT HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH THE FACT YOU CAN PRESS A BUTTON AFTER SOMEONE BUT BEFORE THE DEFENSE WINDOW FOR A GUARD BREAK TO GET AN INSTANT GUARD BREAK ON THEM. IT MAKES COMPLETE CLASSES USELESS AGAINST GOOD PEOPLE. TEST IT YOURSELF.
Also just a reminder guys, I'm sure guard break will be changed again in the future and this is just a temp fix. I liked the idea behind what they where trying to do, but they either need to make everyone have the same guard break animation and range, or allow for people to defend against being guard broken while guard breaking with a slower animation.
