Internazionale have rekindled their interest in Dutch international Edgar Davids after opening talks for the player.
Davids is seeking a new club after seeing out his contract at Juventus.
Barcelona were favourites for his signature after the tigerish midfielder enjoyed a successful loan spell at the Spanish giants for the second half of last season.
Inter´s signing of Juan Sebastian Veron on loan from Chelsea appeared to end their interest in Davids, but reports suggest they have opened talks with the player´s agent.
Barcelona have been keen to keep him and had offered him a three-year deal at Camp Nou, but both parties have not been able to agree terms.
The Nerazzurri are now hoping to steal in with a lucrative offer for Davids as they look to reshape their midfield for next season.
