Stone Skin ( Version 1.0) for Football Manager 2005 created by StudioVista.com ( check us out!)
Instructions:
1) place the unzipped " stone" folder in the " skins" folder of your FM directory.
2) VERY IMPORTANT: place the 2 font files ( stonetext.t2k & stonetitle.t2k) in the " fonts" folder of your FM directory, they DO NOT go with the " stone" folder in the " skins" directory.
3) after starting FM, select the " Stone" skin in your options > preferences & enjoy!
New Features ( since the beta):
1) Back/forward navigation added back into the header, by popular request.
2) Option for left-or-right-handed layout, by popular request ( more on how to do this below).
3) Revised mail alerts, now flashes " New Mail" when there is mail to read.
4) New mail now shows up in a different color to help set it apart, by popular request.
5) Drop shadows on all text increases legibility on every screen in the game.
6) Support for background changes ( it´s there, but not tested with the full version of the game).
General Features:
1) An un-cluttered, easy-breathing, " opened up" layout.
2) An improved default background picture.
3) More legible & easier-on-the-eyes fonts & font colors.
4) Upgraded icons throughout the game.
5) Much improved match screen including the time & score.
6) Greatly improved bottom back/forward & continue navigation.
Notes:
I worked very hard on Stone Skin - if you like it, please let me know & don´t forget to tell your friends about studiovista.com, thanks! Please send any emails to: stoneskin@studiovista.com
By default the layout is a right-handed one, to change the layout to a left-handed layout, first rename the " global panels.xml" file ( in your stone > panels folder) to something like " global panels right.xml" - then rename the included " (left) global panels.xml" file to " global panels.xml" - when you load up the skin for the next time - bam, left-handed.
For those who desire a slightly lighter background, I´ve included one ( in the stone > graphics > backgrounds folder). Simply rename the " default.jpg" to something like " dark default.jpg" and rename the included " (light) default.jpg" to " default.jpg" - the next time you load up Stone skin, it´ll be a little lighter.
- If you´re planning on using your own background & don´t want any of the Stone skin background in there, not only will you have to replace the " default.jpg" file ( as described above) but you must also rename or remove the " colors.png" file also found in the stone > graphics > backgrounds folder.
If you have problems or are new to using skins, I recommend checking out the sigames.com forums - they have a special section on graphics & skinning that will probably answer or solve any questions or problems you might have.
Enjoy!
