This document presents the subject of my internship in Etnic, an organism taking care of information management and networking for the Communauté française.
The internship was about analysis, conception, and development of a software managing the surveillance of the lunch time in elementary schools. It should be able to compute the number of noon surveillance hours subsidized and the total amount due by the Communauté française for it.
Concretely, the application is divided in two parts. The first one allows schools to manage the monitors they employ for noon surveillance. They can add some, modify their informations and delete them.
The second part manages the allocation queries due for noon surveillance. They allow the school's administrative staff to compute the number of surveillance hours made, by each monitor, or directly the total for all the monitors. Thanks to this, and some other informations regarding the school's structure and scholarship population, the application computes the number of hours due by the Communauté française and thus the total allowance.
The application was created using EGL, a fourth generation IBM language, and JSP, for the web part. The used IDE is Rational Application Developer (RAD), an IBM tool used for EGL applications development. The applications uses a generic DB2 database.
