" The Die-Hard
The hype for MP2 is becoming big as its the biggest release on cube for a while. My car all but broke into pieces last week, I now assume Re4 will suck because they will go all out on PS2 version instead, and the republicans have taken over the world. I am in a very very sad time period of my life and how pathetic as I am this is one of the few things left for me to look forward to. Do you think MP2 will deliever the goods for its fans or disapoint in the longrun? -adv2k1
Matt responds: Stop. Stop. Stop. Die-hard Nintendo fans, you really need to stop refusing to support any game that´s not wholly exclusive. I´m telling you, if you pass up on Resident Evil 4 GCN simply because it´s coming to PlayStation 2 a year later, you´re only going to be screwing yourself over. This is going to be a great game. A showpiece. And I expect that the PlayStation 2 build will be very hard-pressed to keep up with the original. So please, I´m asking nicely now, reconsider. Besides, if the game doesn´t sell on GameCube, I can assure you that Capcom probably isn´t going to say: " Oh, wow. I guess Nintendo fans aren´t buying this because we announced a PS2 port." More likely, the company will assume that GCN owners simply don´t care about the franchise, which is not true.
But to your question, Metroid Prime 2 Echoes is going to deliver. I don´t think it will disappoint. The first reviews should hit pretty soon and you´ll see. It´ll do just fine. I expect 9s and 10s from most outlets. Now if you´re asking me what we´re personally going to give it, I don´t know. I haven´t played through it all yet so I can´t say."
