Shock: Now, you're back for Riddick, in what capacity?

Urban: I sort of do a cameo. I help transition the story and the character of Riddick, where we last saw him, into his new adventure. I had a great time working with Vin and David Twohy, they're a fantastic team. I've seen a bit of the film and it's really, really good.

Shock: I'm hearing it returns to its Pitch Black roots in some respects...

Urban: Yeah, it's got a much more indie art house sensibility about it - it's a lean machine.

Il explique que son rôle tient du cameo servant de transition en la situation à la fin des chroniques de Riddick, et l'action de dead man stalking. Il fut très content de sa participation et pour le peu qu'il a vu le film, il l'a jugé très bon.

à la deuxième question, il confirme que le nouvel épisode s'inscrit davantage dans la filiation de Pitch Black.

Puisque le film est annoncé pour le 14 mars 2013 en Italie
les pays bas ont vu la date avancer au mois de juillet

Feels like I’m back in production!

Been pulling 14-hour days trying to finish RIDDICK. My typical day starts at 9am with intensive visual effects meetings, sweating out the details of our 900 VFX shots. Then I jet across town to the mix stage, Soundelux, where I supervise the sound, balancing out the often-competing elements of music, sound fx, sound design, and dialog. At night I hit the lab, Technicolor in Hollywood, staying until midnight to do “DI work” — color-correction of the movie. This is where David Eggby and I have one last chance to get the images right, dropping in grads and power windows to finesse what we shot on set. It’s a great tool, the Digital Intermediate. Kind of like Photoshop for movies. Gotta love it. Gotta love the challenge of bringing it all home.

le studio prévoit une sortie entre le 16 aout et le 18 octobre aux USA. à noter que le film est toujours prévu comme R (donc interdit au moins de 17ans aux USA sans accompagnement) et également à sortir en Imax.

hier, le créneau, aujourd'hui la date de la sortie US, soit le 6 septembre 2013, à noter qu'il s'agira là de la même date de sortie dans les salles Imax et conventionnelles.
