The Brazilian felt the Eagles were unlucky to be on the end of a 4-1 scoreline in Thursday's second-leg at Anfield, but admits he was impressed by what the Reds have in their locker.

"It was a very even match," he said. "It was a well-contested match, in which they made best use of the chances they had. We searched, we played the way we always play, with a lot of ball possession. We also managed to create some dangerous chances, but we weren't able to finish them," said Sidnei.

"Liverpool really have a great team and have everything they need to go on and reach the final. I wouldn't be surprised if they manage to win the Europa League this season."
