Travis Henry est un Broncos, personelment j´aurai aimer mieu McGahee mais bon...on sa faire l´affaire de toute facon que se soit n´importe qui il va finir aqvec plus de 1000 verge de course.

Pour McGahee, il aurait fallu l´aquérir en trade donc en donnant au minimum un 3è tour de draft !
Et là Henry pour 12M$ garanti en 5 ans je trouve que c´est pas énorme pour un RB qui apparement sera starter (surtout qd on voit le contrat de Ahman Green de plus de 20M$ en 4ans), donc je dirai "bonne affaire" !

On a toujours Mike Bell également qui avait selon moi les capacités d´être starter pour l´équipe. Le seul "hic" pour Henry c´est qu´il a tendance à sniffer un peu trop et je crois que la prochaine fois qu´il se fait choper c´est un an de suspension...

Dré Bly appears to be serious about becoming a Washington Redskin.

That doesn´t mean he will be. He likely will be a Bronco after Denver acquired him last week from Detroit. According to a source close to Bly, the cornerback has nothing against the Broncos or the city, it´s just that he was set on playing for the Redskins with a new contract.
The Broncos haven´t given Bly a new deal yet and likely won´t soon because they are trying to make other upgrades to the roster. The two sides could make a deal before training camp.
Perhaps signaling a willingness to trade Bly, the Broncos are expected to bring in cornerback David Macklin, of Arizona, for a visit. However, Macklin is best suited to be a nickel cornerback. If Bly were dealt, Domonique Foxworth likely would be the starter. Still, the most likely scenario is that Bly, who has declined interview requests, will remain with Denver.

Avec la signature d´un RB et d´un CB, et bientot je pense d´un QB remplaçant, il ne reste plus qu´à améliorer cette Dline et apporter de la jeunesse au poste de safety.
Donc en gros je vois la draft de cette façon pour l´instant :
1er tour : DT ou DE
2è tour : Safety
3è tour (x2) : DL ou OL

I don´t understand all the praise Matt Millen received for the Dre Bly deal. George Foster was basically a bust in Denver. He was a first-round pick who couldn´t keep his position or a starting job. Tatum Bell had chances to be the next great Denver runner every season three years running and never too hold of the job. For those two spare parts and a move from the sixth-round to the fifth-round, Millen sent Denver a Pro Bowl cornerback.

Perhaps Millen made the best of a bad situation after Rod Marinelli decided he didn´t want Bly, but he didn´t get equal value back.

Denver has proven to be masters of the trade market the last two seasons, absolutely destroying Washington on a couple draft-related deals, and I´m not even counting the Champ Bailey-for-Clinton Portis move. They even got something for Jake Plummer, who is expected to retire. There are already reports Bly doesn´t want to be a Bronco. If Denver ends up moving him to Washington, expect them to fleece Vinny Cerrato and Joe Gibbs again.

Je pense que offensivement, on est paré ! Il ne manque plus qu´un remplaçant à Cutler :
Cutler - Henry (M.Bell) - Walker, Marshall, Smith - Sheffler, Graham !
On retrouve enfin une super doublette de TE avec un top blocking TE et un TE limite receveur (comme Sharpe et Carswell à "l´époque").

Je pense que Bly va rester, quand il va jouer avec Champ, il oubliera le soit disant gros contrat offert par Washington. Peut être que Denver va lui proposer une extension comme il veut dans les jours à venir parce que là il fallait déjà attendre que les situations de Kerney et Graham se clarifient !
On doit plus être trop loin du salary cap maintenant donc je pense qu´on en a terminé avec l´acquisition de free agent.

On devait être à 6M$ en dessous du cap au début de la FA. Plummer, Foster et Bell sont partis donc ça fait quand même pas mal de salaire en moins : le starting QB, un 1er tour de draft donc logiquement c´est un "gros" contrat et un 2è tour de draft.
A mon avis, Montrae Holland, Paul Smith et Dan Wilkinson n´ont pas signé de gros contrat mais Henry, Graham et Bly doivent qd mm toucher pas mal (même si on peut penser que les salaires de la 1è année de Graham et Henry doivent être minimaux)

Alexander va du coup peut être se faire virer pour libérer un peu de cap room, j´ai vu ça dans le denverpost mais c´était juste une supposition/analyse du journaliste.

Rod Smith va se faire opérer pour rien de grave mais du coup il va manquera pour la 1è fois en 12 ans les volunteer camps ! lol
Il devrait être de retour pour juin/juillet (les camps des Broncos commencent toujours en juillet)

Je suis content qu´on s´en sorte avec lui et non pas avec un Bledsoe ou Anthony Wright !
Il a été drafté au 1er tour en 2002 et s´était imposé à Washington avant que Gibbs n´arrive là bas.
Donc tout ça pour dire que je préfère avoir un mec comme lui, même si il est pas super expérimenté pour seconder Cutler, au moins si il joue un peu, il aura à coeur de montrer ce qu´il vaut. Alors qu´un vieux QB en fin de carrière immobile comme Brad Johnson ou Bledsoe, ils ont pu vraiment qqch à prouver.

Ca c´est sûr ; c´est une autre paire de manches. Je me souviens ya 2,3 ans des Bills qui avaient fait une super off-season mais ils avaient rien fait par la suite en saison régulière.
Mais là c´est pas pareil, je fais largement confiance à Shanahan pour l´attaque, à Bobby Turner pour bien coacher Henry, etc... Offensivement, il n´y a pas eu de changement majeur par rapport à la FIN de saison dernière à part le RB mais ça fait depuis Portis qu´on n´a pas eu 2 saisons de suite le même RB (Droughns, Anderson, Bell).
Après défensivement, je pense que Bly pour remplacer un CB qui n´est plus là ça peut pas faire de mal.

This year, Denver likely will try to move up again. Whether or not cornerback Dré Bly is dealt, Denver is expected to have more conversations with the Redskins about the No. 6 pick. The Jets, with the No. 25 pick, also are expected to try to move up. Washington reportedly is willing to part with its top pick and wants to stockpile more picks.

With an extra third-round pick (acquired from Washington), Denver has the numbers to move up.

The Broncos don´t think they have a lot of needs, so they are looking for an impact player or two from the draft rather than a stockpile of low-round prospects.

Donc il faut s´attendre à un échange où on donnerait nos deux 3è tour voire notre 2è tour pour aller choper un joueur à impact immédiat pour la saison à venir... Pour les impacts immédiats, je vois que certains joueurs : Laron Landry, Alan Branch, Gaines Adams, Calvin Johnson... Au moins un des 3 derniers cités devrait être dispo en numéro 6 si échange avec les Skins il ya.

The Broncos have a good looking tight end prospect in Tony Scheffler, who is entering his second season, but the addition of Colorado alum Graham is huge as Graham is a far superior blocker and is truly a two-way tight end. Denver isn´t real deep or strong at wide receiver but still can create mismatches in both the run and pass game with double-tight end sets with Graham and Scheffler. There is a lot that Scheffler should learn from Graham and both will see plenty of playing time. Having a reliable tight end in the middle of the field can be a young quarterback´s best friend.

Holland isn´t a superstar and may not even start as he competes with Chris Kuper but his acquisition is worth noting. He is a pure guard who is much bigger and heavier than linemen the Broncos usually acquire. He is a good athlete for such a big man and should do a fine job in Denver´s zone attack, which asks the offensive linemen to be mobile and good in space. His signing shows that Denver realizes it needs to get bigger inside to deal with some of the massive interior defenders, similar to San Diego´s Jamal Williams, who now populate the NFL. Holland is very strong, a good pass protector and should help provide a nice pocket for Cutler, who will stay within the confines of the pocket much more than Jake Plummer did as a starter. Holland is experienced with 30 career starts and that valuable playing time cannot be overlooked.

The Broncos still have needs, but those should be addressed in the draft. A pass-rushing defensive end is probably their top priority, although Elvis Dumervil should be better in year two and provide some heat off the edge on passing downs. Even with Dumervil, though, the Broncos still could use a big-time talent at end. They might have the flexibility on draft day to move up for a player of their liking or could possibly stand pat at No. 21 and land an edge rusher like Purdue´s Anthony Spencer or Florida´s Jarvis Moss.

They also should spend a high pick on a wide receiver, as Rod Smith´s best days are clearly behind him and he will be coming off major hip surgery. A player like Tennessee´s Robert Meachem might be attractive in the first round as a deep option for Cutler, or in the second round they might elect to snag Washington State´s Jason Hill, LSU´s Craig Davis or USC´s Steve Smith. Defensive end and wide receiver are two of the deepest positions in this draft, which should suit the Broncos perfectly.They also should add young players with upside for depth at safety, offensive tackle and defensive tackle, even with the addition of Dan Wilkinson, who could pay off by clogging the middle for Denver´s active linebackers to flow to the ball.

The signing of Patrick Ramsey is certainly worth the risk as well for a team like Denver, but if Cutler goes down the Broncos´ quarterback situation gets real shaky in a hurry. Overall, though, Denver is going to be in very good shape by the time the draft rolls around.

The offseason isn´t over yet, but it is obvious the Broncos think they are going to be contenders this season and thus have been extremely aggressive to get better in preparation for 2007. Mike Shanahan´s decision to bench Plummer in favor of Cutler in the middle of a playoff run last year should pay serious dividends in the talented young passer´s second season. Cutler is going to be a good one, maybe a very good one.

San Diego´s roster is still stacked, but they will be without their head coach and offensive and defensive coordinators from last year´s 14-2 team, and if the Chargers struggle at all out of the gate due to all the transition, Cutler´s Broncos could grab a hold of the AFC West and not look back. Denver is a contender.
