Nous voilà avec peut être le meilleur duo de CB de toute la NFL avec Champ et Dre´ !
On va pouvoir se concentrer sur la D-line à la draft ainsi qu´un safety. Même si Foxworth pourrait très bien se convertir en safety avec Lynch, et puis Ferguson n´est pas fini non plus et Curome Cox est loin d´être une chèvre !

Pour le trade Tatum+Foster contre Bly, je trouve que c´est une superbe affaire pour nous et pas trop mauvaise pour Detroit. On donne 2 joueurs inconsistants au possible ! Tatum n´a jamais fait une saison entière et n´a jamais était le "every down back" (il a toujours joué avec Anderson ou Mike Bell) et puis Foster a été décevant au fur et à mesure des matches, remplacé par Meadows en fin de saison dernière.
Dre´ Bly qui serait indiscutablement 1er CB dans la majorité des équipes NFL devient notre second CB, 2 probowler, ça le fait !

Quant aux Lions, ils récupèrent un RB qui pourra compléter Kevin Jones qui s´est souvent blessé me semble-t-il et Foster, un mec irrégulier mais qui a tout de même un sacré potentiel et un sacré physique pour améliorer la plus mauvaise ligne de la saison passée !

(March 2, 2007) -- NFL Network´s Adam Schefter has learned Denver Broncos quarterback Jake Plummer is expected to announce his retirement.

Earlier today, it had been reported that the Broncos agreed to terms on a trade that would send Plummer to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in exchange for a fourth-round draft pick. That trade is expected to be nullified due to Plummer´s decision to retire.

Plummer has played 10 seasons in the NFL. A second-round draft pick of the Arizona Cardinals in 1997, he played six seasons in Arizona before signing with Denver in 2003. He led the Broncos to the 2005 AFC Championship Game, but was replaced as the starter late in the 2006 season by rookie Jay Cutler.

Bly and Bailey played alongside one another in Hawaii in 2003 at the NFL´s yearly all-star game, never thinking they´d someday be paired again on the same team.
The two have been in contact ever since the Detroit Lions made Bly available to other teams.
"He wanted to play with me. I wanted him to come here. When he first told me about the possibility, I couldn´t believe it. How could they get the both of us on the same team? But they worked it out. He´s excited about it," Bailey said.

"It presents a scary situation for offenses we face because who do you throw at?" Bailey said. "You throw at him, he can make a play at any moment. You throw at me, and I can make a play at any moment. It´ll definitely make teams game plan and study a little more because we have that talent."

Avec l´arrivée de Bly je doute qu´on retrouve des parties comme celles contre pittsburgh y a deux ans ou indy cette année. ça va être bien plaisant à regarder jouer.

quant à la position de safety foxworth a pas si mal été reconverti durant les quelques parties jouées en safety, et cox a aussi de la marge de progression, ça peut donner quelque chose.

sinon y a eu des mouvements au niveau quart arriere pour avoir un remplaçant "potable" au cas où cutler se fasse quelque chose ?

En même temps, Shawn Springs est mécontent à Washington, et soit disant -toujours selon "une source" :
Springs has told friends about his long-held desire to play for Denver Coach Mike Shanahan -- they became close many years ago after flying to Hawaii for the Pro Bowl together -- and Shanahan remains a strong proponent of Springs´s play, according to a source.

Donc pourquoi pas ?? Bly/Springs je connais pas trop leur différence de niveau, si Bly préfère aller jouer dans une franchise merdique tant pis pour lui. Je préfère avoir des joueurs qui ont envie de jouer pour quelqu´un plutot que pour de l´argent.

Mais problème au trade, c´est que Springs a un gros gros contrat (merci Washington et c´est aussi pour ça qu´ils veulent s´en débarasser puisque Springs n´a pas voulu accepter de baisser son salaire) et Wash aurait demander de "l´aide" à Denver puisque avec un trade, il reste toujours un "cap charge" que l´équipe dont le joueur est sous contrat encaisse. Enfin ça c´est si j´ai tout bien compris !
