• Then a week or two ago they released what's basically a Shivering Isles (this could sell on a disc at retail) expansion for Disgaea 3. It's a full expansion pack that is a new story where you play as Beryl through four full chapters that play out like any other Disgaea game. The chapters are about 3/4ths the length of a standard Disgaea chapter, so 4-6 maps each. You switch between the main game and Beryl expansion by talking to a guy in the corner of the hub. The entire thing is fully voiced with the same level of presentation that the main Disgaea 3 got, with just as many cutscenes as normal per chapter and 15 new songs including vocal songs. The expansion takes place directly after the ending of Disgaea 3 so it follows the enemy level progression from the main story mode where each map goes up gradually in level. Since the final boss was like lvl.90ish, the first bosses in ch.1 of the expansion starts at 100 then 110->120->130-140->etc.... so if you didn't do all the bonus grinding after the ending of Dis3 you can just jump right in. Also most of the maps give you awesome new stuff when you beat them. Like super powerful unique weapons or new special attacks for your existing story characters. This is helpful for beating the maps if you are low level since the weapons are like 10x more powerful than what you had at the end of the normal game if you weren't grinding*
