La vie de ces mecs...
At the height of his training Eddie was consuming 12,500 calories - something he has recently cut down to around 10,000, still more than three times the recommended amount for an average adult. And sleeping is a key part of his regime, time his body needs to recover from eating and hours of training.
During an average day leading up to the championships, Eddie would have to set alarms to go off at two hourly intervals - for training, and most of all to remind him to eat. His day would look like this:
3am - litre of protein shake and a steak
7am - protein shake
9am - English breakfast, followed by a bowl of porridge and five servings of fruit.
Mid morning snack - 150g of cashew nuts, washed down with a litre of cranberry juice
Lunch - Steak, chicken, pasta, half a family cheesecake
3pm - second lunch - usually featuring Tuna sandwich, flapjack, bananas, beef jerky
Training - For Eddie, snacks during a *four hour training session* are important. He will consume another litre of cranberry juice, a protein shake and a litre of coconut water.
Dinner - Spaghetti bolognese, or something like steak, chicken, pasta, curry, and for dessert the other half of the cheesecake.
Bed - with a snack of a protein bar
