Hello, Today, I am going to present you my study and professional projects.
I'm in my 1st specialty math, physics, and biology. After the baccalaureate, I would like to go to medical school. Let me show you the outline of this course. So the first year will be the most difficult: indeed, there is a very selective competition to distinguish the best students: those who can best resist stress, the most enduring etc. Some people contest this system because it may seem unfair, but the schools have decided that it is the same way of choosing the country's future doctors. At the end of the first year, if you pass the exam (the success rate is around 15%) you have the choice between 5 specialties: medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, maieutics, and physiotherapy.
I would like to choose medicine. I would then continue my second year in France, I would like to choose the faculty in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, at Descartes University because it is the best medical school in France. Then, I would like, as the part of the Erasmus program, to do my third year in Turkey. Turkey is the European Union country whose culture is closest to mine. Moreover, 3 years ago, I visited Istanbul and I really enjoyed it. The third year of medical school is a rather quiet year compared to the first one, and what will follow, so, it is the best opportunity to discover a new educational system abroad. I would have liked to try to study in England but unfortunately they are no longer part of the European Union.
I can't wait to be in my 4th year of medical school because it's the beginning of the clerkship, there are a lot of internships, and more responsibilities, you even start to get a salary, but if I want to go to the best medical school, it's not for nothing: after the 3 years of clerkship, there's again a competition :the national classifying end of study. Everyone is taken in this competition, but it determines two things: in which city we will spend our last years of study, and which specialties we will practice, for example, radiology, cardiology or simply general medicine. In the top 100, two out of three students come from the college of my dreams. I would like to choose the specialty "oncology" and it is a specialty in which there are few places, that is why, I have to put all the chances on my side. At the end of my studies, I would like to do the training to become a pediatrician, and therefore to be an oncologist for children because I love children very much. Two years ago, in my final year of college, I did a traineeship in a pediatric practice and I really liked it. You know all about my study project, but I have one last thing to say: France is a very beautiful country in which I can live and work comfortable, but we must not forget where we come from, and this is why I don't see myself working full time in France, I would like to travel where my family needs me: from Senegal to Yemen, via Algeria, if I am a graduate, I must not forget my brothers who need care.
