Once again, this problem depends on whether or not the seal is damaged.
I'm really doubtful on this one. It just claims that the seal is faulty with no proof. I'm supposed to believe that some no name YouTuber had a PS5 sitting around completely unopened for a year and it magically doesn't work out of the box because of this issue? As if. Either that's a manufactured fault on that specific PS5, or the guy's lying off and dropped it or something.
This just doesn't sound like something that "just happens". You have to f something up to damage a seal like this. Is it something to be aware of so you avoid that damage? Sure. But to say "oh no the design is inherently faulty and you should put your PS5 on its side NOW" (like Woolie on Twitter) is being hyperbolic.
