Thank you for contacting us and we apologize for the hassle. The game being unable to run is usually due to your firewall and anti-virus settings blocking it. I recommend following the below troubleshooting steps in this order - if you have already tried some of these, please do them again in the order they're listed to ensure we have everything covered:
1. Uninstall the game.
2. Open your Documents\Telltale Games folder. If you see a The Definitive Series folder in here, please delete it, then empty your recycling bin.
3. Check that your drives have enough free space available. If your computer's storage is close to full, the game may be unable to run properly.
4. Restart your computer.
5. Start your Epic client and reinstall the game.
6. Once installed, please find the executable for it (likely called WDC.exe in your Program Files\Epic Games folder) and right click on it. Select Run as Administrator.
7. Right click on WDC.exe again and select Properties. In the Compatibility tab, choose Windows 8 compatibility.
8. Open your anti-virus/firewall settings and ensure the game has full permissions to run through these.
After following the above steps, please launch the game and see if you are now able to play.
