CONNECTION LOSS/"HIGH PING WARNING"
Some players are being disconnected from games or cannot successfully join a game, usually with a "High Ping" warning before dropping.
Changes in April 19 Update
Implemented fixes for players with custom MTU settings or those connecting using PPPoE. This should resolve most cases where players were being dropped even if they had a viable connection for playing the game.

MATCHMAKING
Players report they are often matched against players outside of their skill level.

We are currently working on several backend changes to the matchmaker that will place a greater emphasis on player levels. This may include a new maximum Squad size limit of 5, which matches the size of Escape Run Squads. These changes are currently being tested -- when ready, they can be deployed to the servers without requiring a game update.

CONQUEST MODE
Maps often "deadlock", with both teams holding the same positions the entire match, as it is sometimes too difficult for a team to take back territory after early losses.
Changes in April 19 Update
Structures no longer gain "Lockdown" at Level 4, where their central turret would become invulnerable until outer turrets were destroyed. This should make it easier to break open high level structures with raid attacks.
Increased Turrets' shield regeneration delay (the delay after taking damage before shields can start regenerating), making it easier for smaller ships to harass a structure and take out its defenses over a period of time. This was done instead of lowering Turret health so that the change widens the variety of ships that can attack Structures successfully, instead of just making it easier for Frigates' sustained damage attacks.
Ongoing Live Balance Work
Adjust the chance of Events being rolled for a map, which can help disrupt/change the landscape during a match.
Investigation Efforts for Future Updates
Look at further adjustments to structure defenses as needed, based on the outcome of this first change.
Look at slowing down the Player Respawn Timer at bases that are currently "under attack" (i.e. took damage recently), so defenders have to be more careful with their deaths / attackers have a greater chance at overwhelming a base with small waves. This requires a rewrite of the spawning system, which would be time intensive and has to be handled carefully to prevent other issues.
CAPITAL SHIP ESCAPE RUN DROPS
Capital Ship Contracts are too rare, and there is no guarantee of ever gaining a Contract.
Changes in April 19 Update
Destroying parts of a Capital Ship now gives out more reward credit, making high level rewards and Contracts from attacking Capital Ships more common.
Ongoing Live Balance Work
We are adjusting the loot tables live every day to ensure more Contracts drop. We have increased the drop rate for high-level Loot Tables, and also expanded Contracts into other Loot Tables which enables a greater cross-section of players to obtain Contracts. We'll keep adjusting this pretty much every day, then check the results over a day, then adjust again as needed.
Investigation Efforts for Future Updates
Look at specific events in a player's life cycle where a guaranteed Contract could drop. This requires some backend changes and must be balanced in a way that large dumps of Contracts don't all occur at once, as Contracts require a certain population of Live Matches to invade.
PLAYER REWARDS
High level rewards are too rare, or only accessible by highly skilled players.
Ongoing Live Balance Work
Changes to the Loot Tables to increase the chance of rewards across all categories (overall increase in chance of Paints and Portraits)
Changes to low level Loot Tables to add higher level drops at rare chances (ex: Pattern and Elite Paints are now obtainable at lower Fame amounts in all categories)
Removal of low level rewards from high level Loot Tables (ex: removed the chance of rolling low level Augments on more of the high level Loot Tables)
