■ "EDENS ZERO" is "The theme not in the current juvenile magazine"

"EDENS ZERO" is SF science fiction as "space fantasy", not science fiction. I think that it is more difficult than expected in the serial series that started trying to challenge the world view that "sword and magic" cultivated until now can not pass. The world where civilization advanced from the past two works is the stage, technology and the field I have skipped (laugh). "FAIRY TAIL" had cleared up "everything is magical!", But now I am challenging the field I was running away.

However, rather than saying "I tried a field weak in the past" beyond 20 years since debut, I felt a challenge there because "SF" was a theme not in the current juvenile magazine. Looking at other boys' magazines, there are few SFs. It is an unusual theme, and since it was a part that no one touched (in recent years), I thought "This should not be a weapon."

Although I am challenging SF, there is no such thing as "I've done" a royal road fantasy such as "FAIRY TAIL" "RAVE". Still, I want to do royal road fantasy. There is motivation, there are also story. However, now I feel strongly that I want to try new things.

Since "SFIRY TAIL" and "RAVE" also have SF elements such as time travel and stars, I do not dislike this field, and there was no resistance to challenging. "I think that it is fun if a dragon is in space," "It would be beautiful if cherry blossoms were dancing in the universe." It has not been influenced by a specific work, it sees various works, collects it, sublimates oneself and draws a new story. So, it is a work that lived up to now.

■ How prominent is the work of others ... ... "The strategy" of the theme setting?

- "FAIRY TAIL" "RAVE" has a comedy element, I think that I could also draw comedy manga with a new work. Why are you continuing to draw fantasies?

There is fundamentally a thing that love works of "Dorakue" and "Ghibli" from long ago. However, at that time, "Weekly Shonen Magazine" which serialized "RAVE", there was no fantasy work at all. There is a battle manga, but there is no fantasy battle. At that time as well, "It was a weapon!", It was a chance to start drawing.

I felt fun in places where none had done before, which is also good for business (laugh). Especially when it was "RAVE" it was a debut work, so it must be noticeable by something. In order for a rookie to stand out, you have to compete in a field manga not published in "Weekly Shonen Magazine". That started with "RAVE". On the other hand, "FAIRY TAIL" started not as a journey like "RAVE" but collecting friends, but starting with the newness of "Is it fun if all the fellows are from the beginning?" "EDENS ZERO" also saw the whole juvenile boy and thought it unusual as "There is no SF comic book ~", and the idea gathered around half a year time.

The meaning of the title is also my comic, as it is not understood from the beginning, I am glad that you will be surprised when you understand later. It is a composition up to completion, but it is not done at this stage. On the contrary, the debut work "RAVE" has been decided to be the last talk composition from the beginning of the series, "FAIRY TAIL" has been added to the setting from the middle, it has become a long-term series ~ (lol) . - I started a new series as a "new challenge", but I had to end the series of popular manga "FAIRY TAIL" that lasted 11 years. Was the decision not painful?

It would be nice if I had the capacity to be able to serialize two weekly publications of "FAIRY TAIL" and "EDENS ZERO", but it is impossible (truly). It is certain that it is easier for people who continue to draw "FAIRY TAIL" to draw. It's a work that has grown over there, and the character moves arbitrarily, and even if a new character is issued, the reader accepts it. If I wanted to continue, I could still continue. Still, I want to abandon my environment so I want to make something new from scratch.

In the world there are writers who mass-produce masterpieces with a short story of about 5 volumes, artists who continue drawing more than 100 volumes of work, both are amazing. I think that there is a belief, as for me, if there is an interesting idea than "EDENS ZERO", I would like to focus on that idea and think of finishing the current series. It is hard to create a new world view, but still the feeling I want to put out new things to the world is strong.

■ The only thing that Mashima's work can not change ... ... "The golden ratio of the main character"

- A mascot character called "Plus" that appeared in the past two "RAVE" has already appeared even in this work. Does this have special meanings as creative activities?

I like combinations of hero, heroine, and small animals from long ago. Do you call the golden ratio inside of you, there is no courage to break this. It is quite difficult to make a small animal for two men and one heroine for two heroines. There were also suggestions of two men's buddies this time, too, but I think that 1 male 1 woman 1 small animal 1 is the most balanced. It's easy to move when drawing stories about gags and fantasies. There is courage to end the series, but here it is not easy to step forward (laugh).

The existence of Plus appeared in each work, and among fans there is a voice saying "This is connected to a single work as a foreshadow and will appear," but that is not it! If you do it, it's a post-installation (laugh). However, I think that it seems interesting like 'Avengers' like "The main character of each work gathers!"

On me prévient qu'il y a des tentacules donc je reviens, mais non. On s'ennuie toujours. "Agrougrou je suis méchant comme le prouve ma laideur !" T'inquiète pas qu'elle tardera pas à être fairytailisée. Quand les mangakas exagèrent soudainement sur la laideur d'un personnage susceptible d'être gentil c'est systématiquement pour qu'il s'avère être gentil et faussement méchant.

Christavalier peut être que mashima essayé de nous trompé avec cet apparence peut être pas après tout depuis le début chaque personnage ressemblant a un de fairy tail n'est au final une version très différentee, puis la elcy est quand même une voleuse,qui fait de la vente d'humains elle n'a pas l'air commode pour devenir une gentille mais vraiment pas à ce point là

Dabord sa critique Edens zéro, Erza bis,ses sur ses une gentille, aucune nouveautés...La on a quelques choses auquel on s'attendait pas,qui nous montre encore une fois qu'il se détache de fairy tail,comme on le remarque depuis le début mais sa trouve quand même le moyen de critiqué avec comme argument <<ennuyant>> et des prédictions futur se basant sur Fairy Tail

quand mashima nous montre des WTF comme la elcy allien vous trouvé encore le moyen de ramener tout a Fairy Tail.

Vous devriez être heureux car ces ce que la plupart voulais (comme moi) que ce ne soit pas des perso fairy T bis et quand je vois sa bah sa me rass

C'est donc ça le lecteur moyen de Fairy Tail.

Oui et ben Evergreen est une salope qui tue dans tous ses combats contre des figurants. Personne ne se demande ce que sont devenus les pauvres mages de Grimoire Heart qu'elle a pétrifié sur Tenro ?

Je ne comprends pas ce que tu sous entends pas lecteur moyen mais j'éclairci de suite que fairy tail (anime) j'ai apprecié sans plus , je préférais le début a la fin sauf dans l'arc tartaros ou j'ai adoré le moment où tout les mages sacré meurt, un combo en une scène XD

bah il sont soit resté coincé sur tenro ou on été détruit par le passage d'acno mais en même temps il sont presque tous mort et je préfère sa a ce que tout grimoire harts devienne tous des amis. Mais fairy T n'est pas l'exception, hier j'ai regardé le film one pièce Skypea et a la fin on sais même pas ce que devien le dieux de la Foudre est-il mort ou juste assomé car il ses juste pris un gros poids dans la gueule
poids que Luffy a reussi a soulevé comme par miracle après cet rendu compte que ses amis avait tous été battue et qu'une ile a été détruite

l'arc tartaros au début etait excellent. enfin un ennemi (de type feuj) qui met en pls natsu! elcy heu erzanator qui se fait torturer!

franchement le début de l'arc etait excellent!

apres... on connait la suite!

La suite était bien hormis le combats Erza vs kyoka qui n'avait aucun sens, le seul arc ou fairy tail ne gagne pas <<réellement>> mard geer était puissant personnes ne le battait même Grey en démon et Natsu en début de transformation, ses Zeleph qui le tura et maitra fin au combats +on n'a le père de Natsu qui meurt (enfin un proche qui meurt)+Lucy qui sacrifié aquarius... Ces un des rare arc ou fairy tail était vraiment en difficulté ou on n'a un des vrai mort,des News power, avancement réel dans l'histoire avec les révélations...
