if its legit so I will not copy/paste and instead give you a link for you to decide yourself. I will just highlight some points about Devil May Cry 4 that was found in that article. Read this before clicking on the link found below.
- Capcom announced previously that Devil May Cry 4 was confirmed for the PS3. It will go back to Production Studios #4 ( the same as Devil May Cry 1) and Clovers Studios will have a part in it. Capcom has NOT directly stated whether Hideki Kamiya will be involved or not but they did say that there will be many returning veterans on boards, INCLUDING the cutscenes developers ( Ryuhei Kitamaru and Yuji Shimomura are returning, don´t know about Stephanie Cheeva though).
- The biggest draw to DMC4, that Capcom believes, is that it is the REAL sequel to DMC1, meaning a direct continuation of DMC1 ( right where DMC1 left off). However, Capcom also has stated that due to the overwhelming demand, they will make sure that they will make a side quest for Vergil ( yes people, Vergil is back, he didn´t die as Nelo Angelo in DMC1) or go the route of DMC2 and make an entire CD for it ( thats if the Blueray or whatever Cd of PS3 can´t handle it, which I seriously doubt).
- Capcom has deemed it as a " Stylish Survival Horror" game, going back to the roots of DMC1, but will retain many aspects of what made DMC3 so great. The main change will be that the style system will be removed since the PS3 will be able to hold up the RAM for all those moves ( since the model of the PS3 hasn´t really been revealed, the button configuration hasn´t released for DMC4 so we don´t know how this will be implemented.
- Capcom has promised the return of characters like Trish and Lady and finally, they say that the DMC fan will see Sparda return to the face of the earth. That´s right folks, we will finally get to see the real Sparda!!! The enemies and big final boss guy hasn´t been revealed, nor has the setting been revealed yet. Also returning is the huge arsenal of previous installments as well as all new moves.
- Some game play mechanics include progressive level up of Devil arms ( ala Oni´3 where the weapon changes when you level it up) and new custom fit Devil triggers for each Devil Arm. Oh, and Kazuma Kaneko is NOT returning to design the DTs this time.
- DMC4 will feature more expansive environments ( unlike anything seen before) as well as close quarters. All will be beautifully presented on the PS3 hardware. And DMC4 will be the first in the series to include CG intros and movies.
- Not much was revealed about the story line, but we know that Vergil loses his Nelo Angelo armor and regains control of himself after Mundus is defeated. Moreover, Dante gave away his Sparda/FE sword to Trish as well as the amulets to safe guard away. Dante will heed the call of a group of demon slayers that feel that a demonic uprising will start in the depths of hell since Mundus ( Lucifer as they call them apparently) and the Demon Lords will rise to claim the title of the Prince of Darkness. Expect lots of bosses here, these bosses are supposed to be on an epic scale that rival that of Mundus.
- Other features include return of 4 on the fly weapon switching, a checkpoint system has been implemented but difficulty will be tough for NA version, CG movies ( mentioned before), a larger adventure than before if including the quest of Vergil as well, much more moves, weapons, abilities and combos, more expansive environments, in depth Devil Trigger mechanics, epic boss battles and a better overall script for the storyline.
My only real disappointment here is that Capcom again made no mention of a cut scene viewer, didn´t mention any tweaking of camera, didn´t mention much about AI enemies either, and nothing on the past life of Sparda ( just a real life appearance). Other than that, I AM OFFICIALLY HYPED UP FOR DEVIL MAY CRY 4. So let the hype commence, and since this is on the PS3, I really don´t know what to expect now.
