We have released a new 1.86 build to fix a number of bugs related to switching a games resolution while Xfire In-Game is enabled (this includes SWAT 4, Ravenshield, etc.). If your games are quitting to desktop when launched from Xfire, this fix is for you.
One catch: If you take an Xfire Video Capture, stop capture and then change your game resolution, you will still run into the crash. We are working on this for next update.
To install the update:
1. Open a chat window to any friend.
2. Type this command into the text area:
/forceupdate
3. Press enter. If done correctly the text disappears and does not get sent to the chat area of the IM window.
4. Go to the Xfire menu | Log Off.
5. Log back in and you should download the new update.
To verify that you are running the fixed 1.86 build, check your Xfire Help | About and the build number should be 29581.
Alternatively, you can always download the full installer here ->Download Xfire!<- and install over your existing Xfire.
Also remember: Just like any update. You may need to update your firewall/security software permissions after installing the fixed update.
