VANCOUVER´s 2nd-round choice ( 40th overall) in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft.
Won 1996-97 Frank J. Selke Award as NHL´s best defensive forward. Peca´s six short-handed goals led the NHL that season. Won gold medal with Team Canada at 1993 World Junior Championship. Team captain had 13 assists in 21 playoff games during Sabres´ 1999 run to the Stanley Cup Finals. Scored the last goal at Memorial Auditorium and the Sabres´ first goal at the HSBC Arena.
