Anelka wants to finish career in England
Manchester City striker Nicolas Anelka has revealed that he would like to end his career in England.
Anelka told the Guardian: " When you live in England you can lead a normal life.
" I like to walk down the street in England and just be myself but I could never do that in Spain. In Manchester I can walk down Deansgate and not be troubled.
" Nowhere is the same as England and that´s why so many players want to come over here. That is why I would like to finish my career over here."
He added: " When I had to leave other clubs, it´s because I wanted to leave. Leaving is not my aim and I won´t walk away because I don´t have a problem here.
" It is true that I would love to play at a big club again but I am still under contract at Manchester City and it is up to them to decide if they want me or if they want to let me go. I want to play European football again but I have to be patient and maybe I can do it with City.
" When I left Arsenal, it was because I had done everything there and a big club like Real Madrid wanted me and even David Beckham couldn´t turn them down. But I like it here and I think I am improving my game. I like the way I play, so I am happy."
