Birmingham City are believed to be keen on bringing former Blackburn Rovers midfielder Sebastien Perez back to England.
Reports emanating from France suggest that Birmingham are pondering a move for the Marseille star when the transfer window reopens in January.
Marseille are believed to be willing to offload Perez after crashing out of the Champions League earlier this week.
The French side are prepared to let Perez leave the Stade Velodrome in January on loan with the option of a permanent deal at the end of the loan period.
Birmingham are looking to bolster their squad and Perez could be a valuable addition as he can play in a variety of positions and has experience of playing in England during his time at Blackburn.
Any deal could depend on whether or not Perez wants to return to The Premiership after an unsuccessful spell at Ewood Park.
