Striker Drogba was France´s player of the year
Chelsea are reportedly poised to prize Ivory Coast forward Didier Drogba away from Marseille with a £22m bid - a British transfer record for a striker.
The Blues have already had two previous bids rebuffed by the French club.

But it is believed that the Marseille board has agreed to sell Drogba, who will now spend the weekend discussing personal terms with Chelsea.

If the deal comes off, it will surpass the £19m Manchester United paid PSV Eindhoven for Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Last month, Marseille insisted Drogba was not for sale and general manager Pape Diouf claimed even a £30m bid " would make no difference".

But it appears that Marseille´s resistance over the 26-year-old has crumbled in the face of Chelsea´s persistence.

Drogba would be the second striker to arrive at Stamford Bridge this summer following the signing of Serbian forward Mateja Kezman.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has been released from his Chelsea contract, while Drogba´s arrival could pave the way for Hernan Crespo´s departure, despite the Argentine´s insistence that he wants to stay and fight for a place.

C une rumeur qui enfle en Angleterre, mais qui n´a aucune base solide ( pour l´instant?.

Moyes ready to test Hemdani´s resolve Jul 8 2004

MARSEILLE captain Brahim Hemdani is on David Moyes´s transfer wish-list, the Everton manager confirmed last night.

Moyes, anxiously awaiting an answer on the contract offer to Wayne Rooney, wants to add the versatile 26-year-old ( left) to a threadbare squad that boasts only one new addition so far this summer, £450,000 Markus Bent.

Hemdani is in the final year of his Marseille contract and this week insisted he would stay at Stade Velodrome despite interest from several Premiership clubs.

Moyes, however, hopes to test that resolve with a firm bid for the former French under-21 international and has also revealed his pursuit of Millwall playmaker Tim Cahill.

" Hemdani is a player we have an interest in," Moyes told the Daily Post. " And we have made an enquiry about Cahill."

Manchester City and Bolton have also been linked with Hemdani, a midfielder who operated in central defence for much of last season as Marseille reached the UEFA Cup final.

When told of rival interest the former Cannes and Strasbourg player said: " I have one year left on my contract with Marseille and I am happy here.

" I am currently in Albertville with the team for a week´s training and I would not have come if I didn´t intend to stay. Joining a foreign club will happen.

" An experience abroad is part of the career of a professional footballer nowadays.

" But at the moment changing clubs is not my priority. When the time comes I will know it and I will go."

Pourquoi la cerise ne serait pas Eto´o , je sais je reve mais bon. Vu qu´il a signé avec personne et que le president Perez a dit qu´il ne resterait pas au Real quelquesoit le président. Ca veut ptet dire qu´il a déja signé quelque part.

Marseille midfielder Mathieu Flamini is to meet with coach Jose Anigo to discuss his future with two Premiership sides believed to be on his trail.

The 20-year-old impressed during l´OM´s fabulous European campaign last season but has still to sign his first professional contract at Stade Velodrome.

It is understood that Flamini wants a decent pay rise from his current club, aware he could earn a substantial wage increase by heading for England.

Informed French sources claim Charlton Athletic have joined Everton in the pursuit of the talented youngster.

Alan Curbishley´s Londoners are in their strongest ever position in the transfer market after banking a transfer fund from the sale of Scott Parker to Chelsea in January.

The meeting with Anigo next week will go a long way to deciding Flamini´s future and his suitors will be awaiting developments with keen interest.

apparement l´échange Christanval-Vachousek contre Afolabi ne se fera sans doute pas, parce-que 1 de ces 3 joueurs n´est pas d´accord, c´est Christanval, sinon l´affaire aurait été conclu, les 2 clubs étaient d´accord, Vachousek et Afolabi aussi, sauf Christanval.

anigo est en train de virer toutes les recrues de perrin...

Ben heuresement qu´il vire Vachousek , Christanval , Skacel , Johansen , Celestini parce que sinon ça serait une erreur professionnelle

vachouzek est un bon joueur
moi je croi ki l fo le garder
tout comme mido
par contre celstini , johansen et skacel ( koi ke je pense k il est pas mauvais non plus) dehors!

Si DD part, c pas à cause de Anigo : c peut-être aussi parce qu´il l´a voulu!

Sinon dans tous les articles en anglais que l´on a lu ( ceux sur hemdani et Flamini), ce ne sont que des reprises en anglais du démenti de hemdani sur son départ et de celui annonçant que Flamini allait peut-être revenir à l´OM.
