The mission:
The game consists of 2 chapters
1. Halo / Virtuous Chapter ( (VR) Mayor Tom)
2. Blackbird / Snake Eater Chapter ( Mayor Zero)
Halo / Virtuous Chapter.
Mission to retrieve Sokolov & escape in the Fulton Surface to Air
Snake flies in by MC 130 Combat Talon and does a Halo Jump into Tselinoyarsk, landing lossing his backpack you go back to the tree to retrieve your gear, now able to proceed , Snake sneakes / shoots ( players decision) to get to Sokolov in the Abandoned factory, after a discussion with Sokolov about Volgens men, Snake leads Sokolov out only to be confronted by the GRU, they Ocelot shows up and takes out the men followed by Snake taking out the his fellow Ocelots.
Regrouping with Sokolov who is hiding they make their way back to the Escape point, on the way Sokolov points out his creation resting on a nearby mountain.
Crossing the bridge Snake sees a figure in the mist and stops, it was The Boss! asking why she had defected she explains The End asked her to. In the battle that followed Snake falls from the Bridge gripping her bandana.
Recaptured Sokolov is taken by Thunderbolt as they board a Hind.
Snake watches on as they fly off followed by 5 more Hinds carrying the Metal Gear.
Thunderbolt uses one of the " Gifts" to nuke the OBK 754 nuclear research facilty.
Snake manages to escape by using the Fulton and is picked up by the Combat Talon.
Talk between President Johnson & Khrushchev
( Snake is believed to responsible for the Nuclear explosion and So Khrushchev orders The Cobra´s to find him)
Blackbird / Snake Eater Chapter
Snake mission is to find and destroy Metal Gear & Kill Thunderbolts men
Snake returns to Russia in a Blackbird onboard a pod on the top, chased by 2 Russian MIG´s who are now on high alert to intruders into Russian airspace.
Snake lands but this time he has no gear but is wearing a Skull Paint ( This is because many believed he died in the Nuclear explosion.)
looking for his pod he finds The Boss waiting nearby... Now in new gear, she destroys the Pod and takes off by Horse but not before telling Snake were to find Sokolov. Snake is telepathically contacted by The Sorrow

Snake finds Sokolov again but is nothing more than bate!
Sokolov is killed by The Pain
Snake is captured by Thunderbolts men and prisoned with Johhny as your guard, while Ocelot tortures you

Reaching the docks, snake sneaks into a door that holds a corridor / area that is built underground

Using a ladder Snake finally reaches the hanger were Metal Gear is housed.
Managing to get inside Snake places the explosives on the Mech, a intercom announces explosives have been found! In Snakes escape, he is found by Ocelot, he challenges him to one last duel, after a set time, EVA appears and you escape in the side car of her bike.
Realising your escaping Ocelot and soldiers Persue, managing to escape, you are relieved only to find that now Metal Gear is after you! being piloted by Thunderbolt.
As they are being pursued Snake tries to destroy it with bursts of Rockets, EVA has gotten for you.
With the Metal Gear Destroyed they are caught up in the explosion and Snake is knocked unconcious, awakening Snake finds himself infront of Volgen, saying he wanted to beat you up and that if you fought back he would kill EVA! as a final blow Volgen tells Snake that he Had killed The Boss for betraying him.
After being beat up, Snake finds out that EVA has escaped, ( Via Radio) relising he is safe to fight he takes Volgen to pieces and kills him, but not without lossing an eye.
Snake stands on a hill relieved thats its finally over.
Picked up by F.O.X with EVA, Snake tells Major Zero that The Boss didn´t make it.
In an award ceramony that follows Snake is awarded the codename " Big Boss".
The End....... Except their will be talk between probably"The Patriots!"
