" Usually, the Sacramento Kings are exceedingly difficult to defeat at home. The exception comes when the San Antonio Spurs pay a visit. "
" Tim Duncan had 28 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks Friday night, leading San Antonio to its third straight victory at Arco Arena, 102-94 win over the Kings."
" San Antonio was the only NBA team to win twice at Sacramento last season. "
" ``I have no idea why we are winning here,´´ Spurs guard Tony Parker said. ``Maybe its our defense that bothers them a little bit.´´ "
``It may be our worst game offensively all season,´´ Kings coach Rick Adelman said. ``You give the Spurs credit, they were good defensively. We tried to do too much on our own.´´
Parker kept San Antonio in front during the first half, scoring 17 of his 20 points. Duncan took over after halftime, scoring 20 points as the Spurs gradually built a double-digit lead and held on to hand the Kings their fourth home loss of the season.
``I tried to be more aggressive in the second half,´´ said Duncan, who had eight first-half points. ``I was settling for too many outside shots in the first half.´´
The defeat snapped a five-game winning streak for the Kings, who staged a comeback last week to defeat San Antonio at the SBC Center.
Bruce Bowen contributed 14 points, and his defense made things difficult for Peja Stojakovic, who shot 6-of-18 and scored 20 points.
``They didn´t shoot the ball well, that doesn´t happen much to the Kings,´´ Parker said. ``This win is huge for our confidence, to beat the team with the league´s best record.´´
Manu Ginobili scored eight points during the first half of the fourth quarter when the Spurs opened their largest lead, 93-75.
Ginobili scored 15 points and former King Hedo Turkoglu had 13 points in his return to Arco Arena
