LAN Multiplayer server ~50% done - for those who miss the lan fun. As i found out EA´s server is only for chat and sending challenges - the actual game traffic comes directly between players. Therefore i im making LAN server as replacement for EA´s. Features so far:
- Can login
- Can choose nick from created nicks
- can choose car [does not depend on server]
- can list rooms
Todo:
- Creating primary/secondary accounts
- Joining rooms
- Creating rooms
- Creating challenges and challenge management
- Possible online stats about ranks/challenges [howewer - who need info about running challenges on LAN ; ]
What will not be implemented:
To EA:
´Thank you´ for laggy netcode. I get other cars digging into ground and moving crazy even on LAN.
And ´thank you´ for not implementing LAN support - i don´t think it was hard to do.
