Voila le démenti aux rumeurs trop nombreuses et aux controverses légitimes quant à une éventuelle démo des sims 2(ah! je ris bien! une démo d´un tel jeu! trop fort...). Il s´agit bien sûr d´un malentendu, et cette " démo" est en fait l´outil que maxis proposera avant la sortie de Les Sims 2, qui servira à créer ses sims, donnant ainsi un avant-goût de cette aventure grandiose dans laquelle nous, férus de sims, et autres inconditionnels, nous sommes plongés, et nous réjouissons plus de jour en jour. Si quelqu´un pouvait nous indiquer sa date de sortie, providencielle... The Sims 2 Update ( Demo, Release Date, & Website)

Maxis will be releasing a " Demo" of The Sims 2 before it´s release next year. Maxis is giving users a taste of their new game, The Sims 2, with a " teaser program". This will not be a full fledged demo that will allow you to try every thing, this program will only provide users will something interesting ( and fun) to hold them until the game is released. Before TS2 is released in early 2004, Maxis will be releasing " The Sim builder tool". This will be a free program download from The official Sims 2 web site. The tool will allow you to create two Sims using the new detailed Create-A-Sim tool, and than using the tool you can see what a child could possibly look like if they mated. This tool will allow users to see, understand, and use the new Create-A-Sim feature and also see the genetics and DNA features. The download will be available probably by the end of the year. The Sim´s Stash will keep you updated as information comes. For more information on The Sims 2, the new Create-A-Sim mode, and the genetics of TS2, check out our The Sims 2 Preview. Maxis will be launching the official The Sims 2 web site ( thesims2.com) and an Insider newsletter devoted to Sims 2 in ( as Maxis says) " the next few months" ( most likely September-ish). The Sims 2 is going to be released in early 2004, there is no definite release date yet. Despite what other sites ( and stores) say, Maxis has not set a release date yet. " It is too early to tell the exact date when the game will be ready to ship" a Maxis representative said. Yet Maxis does ensure the game will be out before the end of the " First Quarter" in 2004 ( before April 2004), but will most likely be in January or February 2003.
