precision, la base de ses affirmations est sur le PRIMA GUIDE, un truc officiel puisqu´on en trouve un morceau sur le site d´EA

That is correct, but that is not all priority does. Last year´s and this year´s prima guide explain what the the Management section does, even telling you how the Priority Slider works.
During a game, you can´t control everyone, only one person at a time. So you can go into Management, set what you want each position to empahsise ( sp?) the most on; i.e. Defensive ends to emphasis more on Pass Rush or Stopping the Run.
In coaching, some coach´s feel that a pass rush is more important than a great secondary. However, if you have a decent pass rush, you may want to spend more of your practice time focusing on the Secondary teaching them to read the quarterback, read their zones, read their receivers, etc, etc...
Well, since we don´t have an actual practice where we can tell our players to focus more on something rather than something else, we have the Management section under the Coach Menu. The Coach Menu is kinda like having a practice, but not really having a physical practice. It just allows you to set how you want non-human-controlled players to play, and how much importance the CPU places on that non-human-controlled player. Of course, you cannot have two positions with the same priority, or else, the computer will make it´s own decision on who it thinks is most important. The priority slider is like a checklist for the computer that is controlling you non-human-controlled players.
I believe alot of people don´t know this, and it does need to be tested by yourself in order to get what I´m talking about, but I also believe this will prevent the Quarterback from throwing all over you all the time.
My list goes like this:
Quarterback:
I have Quincy so my Position Management is set toward scrambling. However, since in game, I control him, I set the priority slider to 0. Even setting the Position Management has no effect since you control the player, which means you can leave this in the middle, or wherever you want it.
Halfbacks:
Most of the time, you will control the halfback, especially on a run. So you can set this on Priority of 0 also. Again, Position Management doesn´t effect you since you are already the halfback on run plays, so however you want to set it is fine.
Fullbacks:
You only control the fullback on run plays. His management slider asks if you want him to focus more on receiving or blocking. I set mine to receiver since Richie Anderson is good at receiving, but not good enough at blocking. The Priority Slider is the level of importance the computer places on him. If he was 7th on your list of importance, then the computer will go through it´s checks of the prior 6 most important positions before it gets to the fullback.
Wide Receivers:
Speed or Possession. Do you have burners? If so, you may want to have them focus more on just getting past the defenders. If you do, but your quarterback doesn´t have an arm, then setting the receiver to more Possession type means, he will fight more for the ball. He may not get alot of yards after catch, but he goes over the middle, comes back on short passes, etc etc. You may want a high importance on this one. Setting high priority with the receivers management set to Possession also sets emphasis on how well the receiver stays on his route. Personally, it is my 5th highest importance I want the CPU to focus on.
Tight Ends
Blocking or Receiving. Do you have good blocking tight ends that are slow, or do you have fast tight ends who can catch but not that great at blocking, or do you have a more balanced tight end. For Dallas, I have Jason Witten. He is more of a receiving tight end, so I am having the computer controlled tight end focus more on going out for passes, rather than staying in and blocking. If he is a good blocking tight end, my Priority slider might be high, but not higher than any of the defensive, or offensive line sliders. Currently, Tight Ends sit at #6 for me on my most important position to focus on.
Offensive Tackles:
The Cowboys offensive tackles are run blocking tackles. They don´t do too well in pass blocking. However, having Troy Hambrick in the backfield and the need to set up a passing game is important. So I ask my tackles to focus more on run blocking. Then I set the priorities really high. Depending on how my team looks, they are either 2nd or 3rd on the list of most importance for the CPU to focus on.
Offensive Guards:
Same as my tackles, they are more run blockers than anything. So I set to focus on run blocking, the depending on how my team looks, I usually set them as #2 in priority. Since Hambrick is better up the middle and off the tackles, Guards priority is usually #2.
Centers:
Same as guards and tackles, but not a lot of emphasis is placed here. Usually either 4th or 5th on my list.
Defensive Ends:
Pass rush or Run Stuffing? I like to do pass rush more since it gives the opposing QB less time to get rid of the ball and forces the QB to force the ball into the wrong spot, sometime the wrong hands. Since I personally control one of the defensive ends, priority doesn´t have to be real high, unless you want your other defensive end to play as well as you do. They are the 4th from the bottom.
Defensive Tackles:
I don´t control them, but they are good at stuffing the run. Personally, I set mine to focus more on being balanced. Priority is usually high, but no higher than 3rd at times.
Outside Linebackers:
I hardly control linebackers. I see my linebackers are fast and play good coverage. But they are also good at tackling as well. So just because they are good at covering the outside flats or zones, doesn´t mean I want them to focus more on coverage rather than stopping the run. So I usually balance them out. Then since I have good linebackers, depending on how my secondary looks, they are either 1st or 4th on the list of most important to focus on.
Middle Linebacker(s):
I have good run stuffing middle linebackers. However, since they are the captain of the defense, I need them to be balanced. If I control any linebackers, it´s usually the middle linebacker. So my priority slider is close to being even with the defensive end priority sliders.
Cornerbacks:
Coverage or Hard Hitting? I have corners that break real fast on the ball. But they also have extreme speed. So I usually leave the position management slider in the middle, and prioritize them either #1 or #4, depending on what I did with my linebackers.
Free Safety:
Coverage or Hard Hitting? I have an amazing safety. I want alot of emphasis on him. But do I place more importance on him rather than my offensive line? Sometimes I do, but it is Roy Williams, so most of the time his attributes do take over. I usually have his position management at Balanced also.
Strong Safety:
Same as the free safety, except I usually have to decide who is more imporant.
Kickers/Punters:
Who cares. Set the Priority slider to 0 for both since you control them.
Now, what cb240 said about the draft is true also, but that is not all. Like I said, the computer also controls the players you don´t control. So therefore, you have to set how much emphasis the CPU will focus on making the player play how you want them to play and how much emphasis the CPU places on that player over another non-human-controlled player. That´s why they are priority sliders.
Now, I apologize if you didn´t understand what the hell I was saying, but trust me, that is how the sliders work. You just have to mess around with them to see them in action. They are not as visible as setting the Human QB Accuracy Slider to MAX as well as setting the Human WR Catch Slider to Max, but the computer does play the non-human-controlled players according to how you want it to play them and how much importance you give them.
Sorry for the long post, but it had to be done.
