j´ai copié sommairement la page d´aide de la Va France
"This might look Greek, but once you know what to look for, its all real easy.

LFPG 130600Z 25015KT 9999-RA BKN009 12/11 Q0992 NOSIG 200

As I am sure you are aware of, this is a example of a METAR report.
Lets break it down a bit...

  1. 1 This is obviously the Airport ID.
  2. 2 The Date this weather was reported on.
  3. 3 The GMT time the weather was reported on.
  4. 4 The winds, 250 degrees at 15 knots.
  5. 5 Visibility greater than 10km with light rain.
  6. 6 Broken clouds at 900ft.
  7. 7 Temperature/Dew point.
  8. 8 Barometer reading.
  9. 9 Trend (No significant modifications for next 2h).

Below you´ll find a list of all abreaviations used for weather description, weather detail and cloud cover description. Note that Slight or heavy conditions may also be described as in our example by using a - or + sign before the two letter code.

Those abbreviations for weather are:

BR Mist DS Duststorm
DU Widespread Dust DZ Drizzle
FC Funnel Clouds FG Fog
FU Fumes / Smoke GR Hail
GS Small Hail HZ Haze
IC Diamond Dust PE Ice Pellets
RA Rain SA Sand
SG Snow Grains SN Snow
SQ Squalls SS Sandstorm
VA Volcanic Ash

They may be described with more detail with a two letter prefix:

BC Patches BL Blowing
DR Drifting FZ Supercooled (Freezing)
MI Shallow SH Showers
TS Thunderstorm

The clouds cover may be described using:

BKN Broken. Indicates 5 to 7 oktas of cloud. CAVOK No cloud exists. Visibility 10km+
FEW Few. Indicates 1 or 2 oktas of cloud. OVC Overcast. Indicates 8 oktas (solid cover).
SKC Sky Clear. No cloud layers observed. SCT Scattered. Indicates 3 or 4 oktas of cloud.

Any terms following a ´TEMPO´ are conditions that will only exist for a short time (e.g. TEMPO 6000 = visibility will temporarily be 6km) and any weather after a ´BECMG´ are conditions that are expected soon (e.g. BECMG +RA = heavy rain expected)"

Hé hé tu m´a fit ressortir mes cours du BIA!!!

Bon le METAR c un message d´observation météo du ciel.

LFPG 13 0600Z 25015KT 9999-RA BKN009 12/11 Q09920 NOSIG 200

- LFPG représente l´indicatif de l´aérodrome

- 13, le jour du mois le 13...

- 0600Z l´heure d´observation Zulu ici=6h00
