In an interview with The Sun in the U.K. (www.thesun.co.uk) Hulk Hogan said that he and Eric Bischoff are about to sign a network deal for a new pro wrestling show.

"Last night me and Eric were getting ready to sign a deal with one of the TV networks here in America. We had a little bit of a problem with the licensing and merchandising, which has delayed it. But I totally expect we're going to sign the TV portion of this very soon, because there's no point in starting any sort of wrestling organization without the TV locked in place."

Hogan knocked the current WWE product in the interview, saying he's a wrestling fan but he finds WWE "pretty boring programming. It's watered down and unexciting and the viewer doesn't have any option except to have it shoved down his throat."

Hogan and Bischoff have talked for more than a year about starting a company, contacting many former WWE and WCW stars from the 80s and 90s. Before the divorce, Linda Bollea had told me Hogan and Bischoff would be starting a company, but not to compete with Vince, but to do overseas tours starring Hogan. We haven't heard any rumblings of top talent having been talked with, and there is very little in the way of free agent talent out there. If the two have legitimate network backing, they could be a player, but would need a long-term commitment or it's not even worth starting.

Hogan is believed to have put a considerable amount of money into a company where Bischoff controls the money.

Keep in mind Hogan has nearly half a dozen times at this point in time made threats of starting his own company, or strongly teased starting up with other companies. In every case, hindsight has shown the motive was to get McMahon to bring him back, since Wrestlemania season is here

Mais je suis sur à 100% que nous allons signer cet accord très bientot parce que il est impossible de commencer quoique ce soit sans la diffusion d'une chaine de télévision.

Hogan tacle le programme actuel de la WWE en disant qu'il est un fan de catch mais il trouve le programme de la WWE "d'un ennui profond". C'est "watered down" (je n'ai pas réussi à traduire) et ennuyant et le téléspectateur n'a pas d'autre choix que d'avaler ça de force".

Cela fait plus d'un an que Hogan et Bischoff parle de créer une fédération, en contactant plusieurs anciennes stars de la WWE et de la WCW des années 80 et 90. Avant le divorce, Linda Bollea m'a raconté que Hogan et Bischoff créerait une fédération non pas pour entrer en compétition avec Vince mais pour mettre en place des tournées à travers le monde avec Hogan. Nous n'avons pas entendu parler de discussion avec d'énormes stars et il y a très peu de lutteurs reconnus et talentueux libres. Si Hogan et Bischoff ont réellement des contacts avec un chaine de télévision, "they could be a player" (ils pourraient etre un joueur ), mais ils auraient besoin d'un accord à long terme sans lequel il n'est meme pas la peine de commencer.

On pense que Hogan peut mettre une somme considerable une fédération où Bischoff gérera cet argent. (Il a pas peur lui )

Gardez à l'esprit que cela fait une demi-douzaine de fois que Hogan parle de créer sa fédération ou parle de s'impliquer dans d'autres fédérations. En tout cas, avec le recul, on a pu voir que la réelle motivation était que McMahon le réengage surtout en pleine période de Wrestlemania.

Hogan je pense nous fait tout simplement une petite crise pour faire parler de lui et ainsi peut être recevoir une grosse offre de la part de Vince pour Wrestlemania,ou c'est tout simplement un petit coup de pub pour American Gladiators en faisant parler de lui ... de toute façob il a déjà fait le coup auparavant,ça fait 30 fois au moins qu'il dit qu'il veut ouvrir une fédération
