Wrestling star Scott Carl Rechsteiner has been found dead in a hotel in Detroit (Michigan).

The 45-year-old powerful wrestler, nicknamed "Big Poppa Pump" "The Genetic Freak" won many titles in his career in the WWF, WWE and recently in TNA. But his career was always blighted by steroids allegations.

"I´m devastated, it´s a tragedy of enormous proportions for the entire wrestling world," said fellow wrestler Jeff Jarrett.

Rechsteiner´s body was found by a member of the hotel staff on Tuesday evening.

Investigators ordered an autopsy on Thursday to determine the cause of death but violence was immediately ruled out.
