Bon allez pour commencer Halong port,
sry cest en Anglais.
It’s a port. You know the kind, next to a big mountain with an ocean view and lots of water. There are even some ships to look at. But you are not looking at the water. You must look the other way because they are shooting at you. Hehe.
- There are two parts to this map:
•The port complex with two piers, fences, empty containerized freight containers, three buildings, one bamboo canopy storage area and a central lookout tower. You can get up on every roof.
•The mountain complex located INSIDE the mountain with narrow passages, secret entrances, and a ladder that goes up to a sniper ledge.
Terrain strategy, i. e. the chokepoints, are the key to this map. There are only three ways to gain access to the VC mountain complex. Conversely, there are also only three ways for the VC to get out to the US pier area. Can you say stalemate?
- US Map Control
•Use snipers to control both the VC cave hole and the hole above the VC flag.
•The lookout tower can control many parts of the map.
•Control the area between the two fences as the VC usually use that for their Break-Out approach.
•The house with the lookout tower is a chokepoint.
- US Flag Defense
•Good spots to camp all around the US flag. Don’t forget that you can hide in the water.
•US can post up on a narrow ledge directly above the VC cave exit. This is not the exit hole near the freight elevator; this is the other one above the buildings.
•Be aware of the hidden crawl-thru ( hole) in the fence near the US flag.
US Assault Tips
•Before sliding down the VC ladder, throw a few grenades down to clear out traps and flag campers.
•Group attacks work best in that contained VC flag area. Be prepared to pick up a dropped flag.
- US Ambushes
•You can hide in the empty containerized freight metal boxes.
•You can hide under the bamboo canopy, peeking out thru the top slat.
•There is a narrow ledge right above the VC exit. Shoot the VC in the back as they exit that cave entrance.
