j´ai trouve ce cheat sur le net....et pourtant j´arrive pas à l´utiliser, quun a t il reussi??
It sounds more complicated than it is but if you ever did this for X-beyond the frontier than you know how easy it is...
-First you need to save your game, make a not of EXACTLY how many credits you have and then exit X2.
-Next, in the root folder for X2 on your hard drive you will find your saved game. Your saved game is x##.sav where ## is the slot you saved your game in minus 1. For example if you saved your game in the first slot, the file is X01.sav or if you saved in the third slot it is X02.sav
-Make a copy of that file and save it somewhere else in case you screw this up.
-You need a hex editor, available at any shareware download site. Open the saved game with the hex editor.
-open the windows calculator under the start menu, programs,accessories.
-enter the nummber of credits you have into the calculator. pull down the " view" menu. and clcik the hex button. This will give you a " hex value" for that number.
-Any good hex editor has a search button. Search for the hex value in the saved game that you just calculated. ( it should on only be in the file once)
-Now pick how many credits you want ( don´t go crazy, any more than about a billion doens´t work right, but that´s way more than you need and you can always do it again).
-change the calculator back to " dec" and enter the number of credits you desire. then click " hex" to convert this to a hex value, just like you did before.
-replace the old hex value for your credits with the new value in your hex editor.
-don´t forget to save
-ENJOY
this is just like the process for X-BTF but the hex value is in only once. As opposed to in X-BTF it was twice.
It may take some practice and tweaking depending on your hex editor BUT IT DOES WORK... i have 789,5697,364 credits and a bunch of capital ships right now...
