Le jeune routier de Jean Delatour a remporté samedi 21 juin le titre de champion de France de demi-fond couru sur l´anneau de Vannes

L´espoir de Jean Delatour a donc fait un détour par la piste de Vannes. Il a pris sa revanche de l´an dernier en battant S. Bénetière, tenant du titre, malgré une crevaison dans la finale.

Suisse -étape 6 : Pereiro roi de la montagne !

Oscar Pereiro a offert une superbe victoire à Phonak en remportant l´étape reine du tour de Suisse en solitaire. L´espagnol a passé la ligne avec 1´13´´ d´avance sur un Jan Ullrich rajeuni !

Le groupe Vinokourov/Casagrande est arrivé juste derrière l´ogre allemand mais la course n´aura pas été de tout repos pour la kazaque victime de petits problèmes techniques dans la montagne.

A noter la superbe course du jeune belge Jurgen Van Goolen qui termine à une honorable onzième place.

Bruylandts raffle le Giro d´Oro !

Après sa deuxième place hier, Dave Bruylants remporte enfin la victoire dans le Giro d´Oro, épreuve 1.5 !

Bruylandts conclut une domination belge puisque Bert Scheirlinckx termine deuxième à 6 secondes du coureur Marlux en pleine forme à une semaine des championnats de Belgique.

Suisse - étape 7 : Yakovlev en solitaire !

Sergei Yakovlev a remporté la septième étape du Tour de Suisse en solitaire. Le kazakh a lâché ses compagnons d´échappée à une dizaine de kilomètres de la ligne.

Yakovlev, jeune coureur de la formation Telekom,a laché ses compagnons d´échappée à 10 kilomètres de l´arrivée sentant le danger du groupe Camenzind qui revenait.

Derrière Zberg a accroché la deuxième place devant Schnider et Dergang. Leblancher est arrivé un peu en retrait à 1´23´´ du leader pour décrocher une cinquième place bien méritée.

Un groupe de poursuivants contenant entre autre Stuard O´Grady et Peter Wuyts était parti en contre mais celui-ci n´a jamais pu revenir sur les 4 leaders.

Le peloton termine à près de 3´30´´.

Serguei Yakovlev est né il y a 27 ans au Kazakhstan et évolue chez les pros depuis 2000 en compagnie de son ami Vinokourov. Il avait réalisé une bonne première année pro, remportant le grand prix de la Montagne sur le Midi Libre, 2e d´une étape, et 2e d´A Travers le Morbihan.
Par la suite, il a un peu perdu les pédales avant de retrouver son bon niveau en ce mois de juin 2000 avec une 7e place au GP du Canton D´Argovie et cette victoire d´étape.

La Route du Sud à Rogers !

Michael Rogers a remporté la Route du Sud dont la dertnière étape a été enlevée par le français David Moncoutié. Moncoutié a devancé Caucchioli au sommet de cette étape pyrrhénéenne.

Rogers s´est encore une fois montré très costaud puisque l´australien a bien tenu le choc face aux attaques de Caucchioli qui n´a su le décramponner. Après le tour de Belgique, Rogers remporte donc un nouveau succès de poids !

Kleynen remporte le Circuito Montanes

belge Kleynen s´est adjugé un superbe succès en remportant le classemùent final du Circuito Montanes.

Kleynen a su garder le maillot à l´issue de la dernière étape où l´équipe Vlaanderen a parfaitement contrôlé la course.

C´est sans réelle opposition que Gianpaolo Mondini ( domina vacanze) est devenu champion d´Italie de l´effort individuel.

France CLM : Seigneur renouvelle son bail

Le Picard remporte le titre national contre la montre pour la deuxième année consécutive.

Eddy Seigneur ( Jean Delatour) s´impose sur les quelques 42 kilomètres d´un parcours plutôt roulant à Plumelec. Il endosse pour la troisième fois ce maillot.

Le second est le surprenant Stéphane Barthe, ancien champion de France en ligne, et concurrent de dernière miute après sa troisième place au chrono de la Route du Sud.

Sur la dernière marche figure un des grands espoirs du cyclisme français, Nicolas Portal.

Les grands leaders français décoivent, avec Christophe Moreau à près de 2 minutes et Sylvain Chavanel, une minute derrière. Contre-la-montre en demie teinte également pour Didier Rous, 6e. Mais ces coureurs ont des ambitions pour dimanche prochain et la course en ligne.

Chaurreau confirme sur le chrono

Inigo Chaurreau, le basque de la formation Ag2r, est devenu aujourd´hui champion d´espagne du contre-la-montre en devançant Toni Tauler, déjà second l´an passé.

Le basque avait déjà fait ses preuves dans le chrono lors du Tour de France 2001 sous les couleurs d´Euskaltel. Il avait confirmé très récemment lors du Dauphiné Libéré, prenant la 4e place du contre-la-montre.
Il conduira la formation Ag2r, dont c´est la 15e victoire cette année, sur le Tour du Centenaire.

Blaudzun avait déjà remporté le titre en 2001, et avait terminé troisième l´an passé. C´est le chef de file des rouleurs danois , puissants donc à l´aise sur longue distance. Eternel représentant danois aux championnats du monde du chrono, il y rentre souvent dans les 10 premiers, sans toutefois parvenir à inquiéter les meilleurs.
