Benenati brille au Baby Giro !

Le 33ème Giro des moins de 23 ans et moins de 26 ans a débuté hier sur les routes italiennes.

Cette épreuve cotée du calendrier international commencait par un prologue de 6 Kilomètres 100 tracé à Maerne ( Vénétie)

A noter l´excellente seconde place d´Enrico Franzoi le champion du monde de cyclo-cross des moins de 23 ans à Monopoli, sur ses terres de vénétie il est vrai.
A remarquer aussi la 8ème place de Volodymyr Starchyk un futur professionnel de l´équipe Marlux

L´espagnol Lara Ruiz ( Bianchi) a été rattrappé dans le dernier kilomètre. Au sprint Sijmens(Vlaanderen) a remporté sa seconde victoire dans cette épreuve en devançant Specialetti de Saeco.

Dauphiné - étape 6 : Armstrong contre l´Espagne !

Mercado a remporté en solitaire cette sixème étape du Dauphiné Libéré où le leader, Lance Armstrong, a été attaqué de toute part.

L´américain n´a pas perdu pied et n´a concédé que 5 petites secondes à son plus proche adversaire, Iban Mayo.

L´étape du jour a été marquée par l´ascension du col du Gallibier où le public a eu droit , à une superbe explication entre le coureur basque et Lance Armstrong. Mayo a en effet attaqué l´américain, lui prenant trente secondes sur l´ascension mais dans la descente, le coureur de l´US Postal parvient à refaire son retard. Profitant de la lutte pour le podium entre Armstrong, mayo et Mancebo, Mercado attaque à 10 Km de la ligne.

Mancebo ne roule donc plus et provoque du même coup un regroupement de 22 coureurs en tête de la course. Les favoris ne reverront plus Mercado qui empoche l´étape au sommet de la vieille ville de Briançon.

Derrière, Mayo attaque dans l´ascension finale et reprend 5 secondes au leader de l´épreuve.

Vuelta ciclista Lleida ( cat.2.6) : victoire de Reyes

Bon comportement de l´équipe du Crédit Agricole-espoirs.

L’Espagnol Javier Reyes a remporté le classement final de la Vuelta Ciclista de Lleida devant le Finlandais Vastaranta ( Rabobank-espoir) et l’Espagnol Iban Latasa. Javier Reyes a forgé sa victoire essentiellement en remportant le contre-la-montre lors de l’avant dernière étape. Les autres étapes ont été remportées par Ponomarev ( Rus), Rodigro Garcia ( Esp), Vastaranta ( Fin), Rodrigo Garcia ( Esp), Vastaranta ( Fin) et Victor Gomes ( Esp).

L’équipe Crédit Agricole-espoir était au départ. Son meilleur représentant a été Cedric Coutouly qui se classe 7e au classement final. Un peu plus loin, on retrouve Julien Mazet, 14e et 5e du contre-la-montre, puis Geoffroy Lequatre qui termine 16e.

Cette course est classée en catégorie 2.6 et se dispute dans le nord-est de l’Espagne. Elle comporte 7 étapes.

La dernière étape pour Vasseur.

Le français Cédric Vasseur est arrivé premier en solitaire à Grenoble, lors de la dernière étape du Dauphiné Libéré. Echappé dans le col du coq, a 30 km de l´arrivée, Il a su résisté a Armstrong, accompagné entre autre de Mercado et Mayo.

Vasseur devancede quelque seconde Edaleine, Mercado et Mayo.

Armstrong remporte le classement final devant Mayo.

Cette dernière étape partait de Briançon, et raliait Grenoble en 174 km et 3 cols. Les 103 coureurs arrivent groupés au premier sprint intermédiaire:Yuriy Krivtsov ( Jean Delatour)y passe en tête, suivi de Inigo Chaurreau ( AG2R)et Viatcheslav Ekimov ( US Postal).

Le peloton entame ensuite la montée de la première difficulté, le col du Lautaret, emmené par les Postier US. Moreau y passe en tête, devant Mayo et Lastras.

Dans la descente, un groupe de 7 coureurs s´échappe: Gilbert et Mengin ( FDJeux.com), Flickinger ( AG2R), Dumoulin et Edaleine ( Jean Delatour), Sébastien Talabardon ( Bigmat Aubert), Pineau Jérôme ( Brioches la Boulangère). C´est ce groupe qui se dispute le second sprint intermédiare, remporté par le belge Gilbert devant Dumoulin et Mengin.

L´avance de segroupe atteindra 8 min au pied de la grosse difficulté du jour: le col du coq. Mais l´echappée sera rejointe par un groupe emmenée par Armstrong, accompagné de Mayo Mercado, Moreau et Vasseur. Ce dernier attaquera ensuite pour basculer en tête, un peu avant Edaleine, rescapé de l´echappée. Il passera également en tête quelques kilomètres plus loin au col de Porte, dernière difficulté du jour, etentame ainsi la descente en tête, avec une avance de 2 minute.

Les jeux sont fait et Vasseur remporte cette dernière étape.

Challenge espoirs ce dimanche 15 juin à Bruay-La-Buissière ou le Pôle France Wasquehal a tiré son épingle du jeu malgrès un sous-effectif du aux manches de DN1 et DN2 en remportant cette course qui fût un véritable chantier avec l´ascension de la côte de la Zac n°3 à escalader 22 fois d´un circuit de 5Kms.Ces hommes étaient partis dès le premier tour avec Bonnaire , Demandrille et Bouchart ( tous Pôle france wasquehal) avant que 6 hommes dont Da Silva ( raismes) , Denhane ( Roubaix), Ficcara et Fiévet ( OGS) , Marino ( Wasquehal) Tronet( neuville) revinrent sur l´échappée qui durera jusqu´au final ou Bonnaire arriva main dans la main avec Marino après avoir fait une véritable démonstration .
