Ruban Granitier : Zen s´effondre

Jean Zen ( Vendée U) a perdu son maillot de leader au profit de Frédéric Delalande ( Equipe de France de la Police). Rothmer s´offre la troisième étape.

Entre Theix et Turballe, le Ruban Granitier a amorcé lundi un premier grand tournant. En effet, si c´est le hongrois de Saeco Balasz Rothmer qui remporte la 3ème étape, Jean Zen, dans un jours " sans", cède le maillot de leader à Frédéric Delalande ( Eq. de France Police).

Cette troisième étape a été marquée par une échappée de 16 coureurs dont Cousinié et Delalande ( France Police), Lecrosnier et Rault ( Jean Floch´), Muravyev, Simon et Jéhanno ( Bretagne U Plouvien). Le peloton a longtemps mené la chasse pour reprendre ces hommes à l´entrée des marais salants. Delalande réussira néamoins à fausser compagnie au peloton encore une fois avec une quinzaine d´hommes.

Mais à l´entrée du circuit final ( 4 x 5km), Jean Zen ( Vendée U) avait déjà 10 minutes de retard. Un mauvais coup pour Vendée U qui aurait pu remporter l´étape avec le jeune finisseur Anthony Ravard. Le leader de la veille, qui a connu un gros jours sans, s´est effondré, finissant à plus de 17´ du vainqueur.

Romandie: Les suisses à l´heure

Fabian Cancellara, vainqueur du prologue genévois, a devancé deux compatriotes romands, reléguant Dario Frigo à 15 secondes.

Résumé de l´étape :

Trois générations de coureurs suisses sur le podium de ce prologue du Tour de Romandie, et bien sur, le plus jeune au sommet. C´est bien Fabian Cancellara, moins romand que bernois mais plus suisse qu´italien, qui a réalisé le meilleur temps dans les rues de Genève. Vainqueur de 5 ( !!) épreuves contre-la-montre l´an passé dont le Championnat national, le plus grand espoir helvétique a encore montré qu´on avait raison de croire en lui.

Muravyev granitique

Déjà vainqueur du Prologue vendredi, le leader de la Quick-Step espoirs remporte la 4è étape du Ruban Granitier et prend la tête du général.

A l´issue de cette étape de plus de 180 Kms entre Plescop et Lannion, qui a vu au départ l´ex-leader Jean Zen renoncer pour bouffées de chaleur, le coureur Dymitri Muravyev ( Quick Step) s´impose et prend le maillot du leader à Frédéric Delalande ( Equipe de France de la Police). Lequel finit à moins de 2 minutes du vainqueur et perd son paletot pour 32 sec à la veille de l´étape Lannion-Douarnenez.

Tour des Régions Italiennes

Kostyuk remporte la 4ème étape mouvementée

Les étrangers sont toujours aux commandes du Tour des Régions Italiennes épreuve par étapes cotée pour les moins de 23 ans.

L´arrivée de la 4ème étape à Ovada s´est achevée par un sprint confu qui a vu la chute de plusieurs concurrents à 7O mètres de la ligne parmi lesquels plusieurs favoris : Fajt le leader du général; le francais Lequatre , l´ouzbek Lagutin, l´italien Iannetti. Tous les coureurs ont été cependant crédités du même temps vu que l´incident s´est produit dans le dernier kilomètre.

Une chute beaucoup plus grave a conduit la victime à l´hopital, en l´occurrence l´ukrainien Denis Jablonsky pour lequel il a été relevé un traumatisme crano-facial, avec une fracture du maxillaire supérieur.

L´étape a été remportée par l´ukrainien Denis KOSTYUK déja vainqueur cette année du Palio del Recioto et second du dernier grand prix de la Libération.*

La 5ème étape d´aujourd´hui qui mènera les concurrents de Rivanazzano à Salice Terme sur 18 km contre la montre pôurrait se montrer décisive quand au classement final de cette épreuve.

Romandie, étape 1: Un temps à sortir Bertoletti!

L´italien de la Lampre Simone Bertoletti a remporté sous la pluie la 1e étape du Tour de Romandie, après 160 kilomètres d´échappée solitaire.

Résumé de l´étape :
160 kilomètres d´échappée seul sous la pluie, ça mouille, ça fatigue et ça forge le moral -et encore plus quand ça ne va pas au bout-.
Cependant, on peut penser que lorsque Bertoletti a franchi la flamme rouge avec 2 minutes d´avance sur le peloton, c´est un sacré sentiment de bonheur qu´a du ressentir le jeune lombard. Sa 2e victoire, même si elle est obtenue à l´étranger, est certainement la plus belle pour cet équipier de la Lampre. Il était sorti depuis le vingtième kilomètre, sans le moindre courageux pour l´accompagner. Et puisque le peloton semblait des plus frileux sous ce temps exécrable, tant pis, il irait seul.

On peut dire qu´il a bien fait, et qu´il l´a bien fait ( 38km/h de moyenne malgré le mauvais temps!). Avec une avance portée jusqu´à 18 minutes à mi-course, puis une énergie gérée certainement comme il a pu, Bertoletti a réussi, dans les vingt derniers kilomètres, à résister au retour du peloton. Ce dernier lui reprenait une minute toutes les cinq bornes...
L´immense effort produit aujourd´hui par Bertoletti fut récompensé également d´un paletot jaune, ce qui ne gache pas l´affaire.

Les favoris ont malgré la pluie pu se reposer aujourd´hui. Enfin, presque tous. Dario Frigo, grand favori de ce tour de Romandie, a en effet tremblé dans un groupe d´attardés avant de revenir sur le groupe de tête. 42e du prologue hier, en difficulté aujourd´hui: le leader de la Fassa Bortolo se repose-t-il? Regrette-t-il de n´avoir pas déclaré forfait comme le firent ses adversaires du Giro, Garzelli et Simoni? Ou a-t-il vraiment les jambes lourdes, lui qui tient sa meilleure forme depuis deux mois maintenant?
On n´aura surement pas la réponse demain, où les sprinters devraient pouvoir s´exprimer. Parmi eux, seul Glomser a pu rester dans le peloton aujourd´hui. Le blondinet de la Saeco, bon grimpeur également, pourrait même s´exprimer après-demain sur les hauteurs des Alpes suisses. D´ici là, on aura , malheureusement, déjà oublié le bel exploit de Simone Bertoletti...

Tour des Régions Italiennes : Kostyuk bis

KOSTYUK bis au Tour des Régions italiennes.

L´ukrainien a remporté l´étape cronométrée de 18 Km 2OO qui reliait Rivanazzano à Salice Terme.

Cette victoire le propulse à la seconde place du classement général derrière le slovène FAJT toujours aux commandes.

La dernière étape se déroulera demain entre Finale Emilia et Lido Adriano di Ravenna sur 13O Km.

Auger conserve la tête du Circuit des Mines

Guillaume Auger conserve la tête du Circuit des Mines au terme de la 5ème étape qui s´est déroulée entre Joeuf et Jarny. Il gconserve 2 secondes d´avance sur le francais Emilien berges.

Tour de Romandie 2 ème étape: Une belle victoire pour Delatour

Après une très longue échapée l´ukrainienYuriy Krivstov ( Jean Delatour) à remporté cette deuxième étape du tour de Romandie en battant au srpint Martin Elimger ( Phonak). Les deux hommes sont parti dès le 30ème km .

Angelo Furlan remporte le sprint du peloton devant Cancellara et Quaranta à 1´23´´

Dmitriy Muravyev a remporté le Ruban Granitier Breton au terme de la dernière étape Guégon-Fougères. Il a été bien épaulé par son équipe, le GS3 Quick Step - Davitamon, pour conserver son maillot blanc à diagonale verte.
C´est le vainqueur du Ruban 2002, C. Cousinié de l´équipe de France de Police qui remporte détaché la dernière étape.

Tour de romandie 3ème étape au final surprenant

Laurent Dufaux s´est imposé dans une étape que les Milaneza auraient dû gagner par l´intermédiaire de Francisco Perez. Celui-ci s´est cependant trompé de route à 1 km de l´arrivée, alors qu´il était seul en tête.

L´équipe Milaneza s´est mise en évidence en animant le final de cette troisième étape en multipliant les attaques.

L´espagnol Francisco Perez était d´ailleurs seul en tete a moins de 2 km de l´arrivée, avec une avance qui aurait du lui permettre de remporter la course, malheureusement pour lui, il a été mal orienté et a quitté le parcours, il termine finalement à 5 min du vainqueur du jour, le suisse Laurent Dufaux qui remporte le sprint d´un petit groupe de 6coureurs.

Les suisses , tout comme lors du prologue, occupent les 3 places du podium.

GP Industrie - Qui arrêtera la Saeco?

Après le festival Simoni ces derniers jours, c´est l´espoir espagnol Juan Fuentes qui remporte le GP Industria e Artigianato, devant Colombo.

Cinq victoires en dix jours pour la Saeco. Pas mal, surtout à une semaine du Tour d´Italie, l´objectif de l´année. " C´est un instant magique pour nous, a déclaré Giuseppe Martinelli ( directeur sportif) à Cyclingnews. Démarrer le Giro avec un moral au zénith, après tant de victoires, ne peut nous faire que du bien. J´espère simplement que ca continuera ainsi!"

C´est Stefano Garzelli qui lancait le mouvement décisif à 10 km de l´arrivée, dans le dernier col. Cinq kilomètres plus tard, quatre hommes revenaient sur lui et Juan Fuentes contre-attaquait sur le champ. Malgré la belle union des poursuivants, rien n´y fit, même le retour désespéré de Colombo qui mourait sur els talons du jeune Espagnol.
En effet, même s´il est né à Sydney, Juan Fuentes et bien un espoir du cyclisme ibérique, après ses succès en amateur. A 25 ans, et une première belle victoire, il peut envisager la suite avec sérénité.

CSC Classic ( 1.2) - Les CSC, une fois de plus!

Jakob Piil a remporté l CSC Classic pour le compte de son équipe du même nom. C´est la 3e victoire consécutive dans cette course pour l´équipe de Bjarne Riis.

Jakob Piil faisait partie de l´échappée matinale comprenant 12 hommes, qui furent réduit à 5 sous l´impulsion des plus costauds dans la côte de Jeksen.

Si les Fakta semblaient les plus forts aujourd´huio avec également trois hommes en pousuite ( dont Arvesen), la seconde équipe danoise connut des problèmes d´oreillette qui la gêna pour organiser le sprint final à la grande déception de Scott Sunderland.
