Clad is a 12 year old child living in the Village Zaanarka. It belongs to the tribe of Tulips. In our universe, each tribe is composed of a single species.
That of our hero (The Meknes) is characterized by a strong magical powers and good physical abilities.
It differs from the "elves" who have the power to interact with the afterlife and "humans" who have no special power but are known to have an incomparable cruelty.

The meknes are not very different physically from humans, only their powers make the difference

The relationships between different species are very confrontational and lead to "inter-species wars"

Clad is a happy child but quite moody, he lives with his older brother: Piku.
Piku has a fairly low magic, but has an unusual physical condition and a flair worthy of the big cats.
