Nintendo´s full of surprises lately. Everyone´s chatting (and bitching) up a storm about Revolution-turned-Wii, and if a release date change on Amazon.com is to be believed, we might be seeing The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess a whole lot earlier than anyone expected: May 15.
According to the online retailer, Link´s GameCube-with-Revolution-functionality adventure will start shipping to gamers in two weeks. Unfortunately, it´s probably a little too early to start popping the champagne; retailers are notorious for making up release dates simply to update their databases.
Just in case, we checked with a few other online retailers. EB Games lists a release date of September 1st, whereas Best Buy says it´s not coming until a month later on October 1st. The verdict: no one knows when the heck Zelda´s going to be needing saving again except Nintendo.
There are sure to be plenty of out-of-left-field announcements coming from Nintendo next week, but a shock release date for Twilight Princess isn´t likely one of them.
