This time around I noticed a small slip of paper hidden within the game’s manual. It said that Full Auto is best played at 60 Hz. Believe me, Sega isn’t kidding about this, set the Xbox 360 to 60 Hz and it’s a different game entirely. With Full Auto playing so badly in 50 Hz mode I’m surprised that Sega didn’t lock out the game if the console is set in that mode, just as Tecmo has done with Dead or Alive 4.
Giving a game like Full Auto a score is always difficult. Ignore the technical problems and you can take the gameplay score below (8) to be the overall score for the game. If the issues I’ve mentioned are going to bother you, or your TV isn’t capable of 60 Hz, then Full Auto is merely a seven. Even then, I suggest you give the game a try, because Full Auto really is a lot of explosive fun.
