Unless your tv can take a 720P input or better, if you´re tv is native 1080i, the ps3 can only send a 480P signal to your 1080i tv. It cannot send a 1080i signal to your tv.
To enjoy a ps3, you´ll just have to buy another tv. And yes, this includes some older Sony hdtvs. They really know how to botch a launch, don´t they?
Playing PS3 in 480P on your hdtv is just insane! But that´s what Sony´s fine PS3 will do. No 1080i support.

pour les anglophobes, si vous avez acheté une TV 1080i, revendez la si vous voulez profité de la ps3, une télé classique sufira. Ou alors, acheter du 1080p, mais bon... c´est plus cher.
