Hajime Tabata, the Director of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII has said that the probability of a remake of the original Final Fantasy VII would increase if development schedules of those involved in the 1997 classic would free up.
When asked on the possibility of a remake appearing on the PlayStation 3, Tabata told the Official PlayStation Magazine: "The possiblity for a remake may become greater if, for instance, the schedules of the original members of the Final Fantasy VII development team, such as Kitase and Nomura, open up."
A FFVII remake has been the hot topic of debate for some time now, following a tech demo of the game running off of PS3 hardware appeared at Sony's E3 2005 press conference.
