Hier, nous vous avions rapporté un bruit qui courrait concernant un Sixaxis avec vibrations présent lors du Tokyo Games Show (voir cette news). Nous nous attendions à plus d´informations de la part de Sony, et bien c´est maintenant chose faite avec la confirmation, par Kaze Hirai, de la DualShock 3 !
Le président de Sony Computer Entertainment a donc confirmé ce que tout le monde attendait : Un Sixaxis avec les vibrations ! Selon le communiqué de presse, la troisième incarnation de la manette DualShock sera disponible au Japon dés novembre prochain, puis aux États Unis et en Europe dés le Printemps 2008.
La DualShock 3 mélangera donc les fonctions gyroscopiques de l´actuel Sixaxis avec les vibrations ! Il promet d´apporter une expérience de gameplay intensive. De plus, très bon point, la manette sera compatible avec tous les jeux déjà sorties sur Playstation 3. En effet, selon le P.R de Sony, « les titres PS3 qui sont déjà sur le marché peuvent devenir compatibles avec la fonction de vibrations via une mise à jour du firmware ».
Nous vous avons aussi déniché une liste de jeux totalement compatibles avec la DualShock 3. Quelques uns des jeux ci dessous seront compatibles après la mise à jour du firmware. Voici la liste (au 20 septembre 2007) :
