UK, January 14, 2008 - Warner Brothers are apparently considering splitting the filmed version of Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows into two halves because of the tome´s length.
According to British rag The Mail on Sunday, the crew working on the sixth adaptation - Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince - have already been told the news.
The paper quotes an unnamed ´film source´, who said: "There´s so much to fit that the view is the last movie should be in two halves. There is a huge battle when Harry, played by Daniel Radcliffe, takes on Voldemort that needs to be done really well."
- ScholasticThe movie version of Harry´s final adventure could be split into two parts.
As the Harry Potter books have got progressively longer and more complex, the filmmakers adapting them have had to omit increasingly large chunks of the books. Many fans weren´t happy that The Order of the Phoenix (nearly 900 pages) and The Goblet of Fire (over 700) were compressed into single films.
In recent weeks rumours about who will direct The Deathly Hollows have also been circulating, with Hellboy helmer Guillermo Del Toro and even Steven Spielberg rumoured to be interested in the job.

je sais pas si je dois me réjouir et je sais pas ce qu´ils entendent par "diviser le film en 2". 2 parties avec quelques mois d´intervalles? un entract à la titanic? on verra bien, hp7 est censé sortir en 2010.
