Bonjour à tous, depuis quelques temps j'ai remarqué que mon PC couinait (un couicouic....couicouic...), pas de façon permanente mais souvent, surtout quand je joue.
Je possède un Acer Predator G7700 Trooper (sisi le gros truc orange là ), je suis sous Windows 7 family premium, j'ai deux cartes graphiques Geforce 9800GTX, 4 giga de ram avec un Quad Core Q9450.
J'ai essayé de voir si ça venait d'un de mes disques durs mais apparemment non (je peux ouvrir un clapet sur la façade de ma machine pour accéder aux disques durs à chaud et le bruit ne venait pas d'eux, mais ça venait de derrière).
Je pense que c'est le ventilo ou alors les cartes graphiques mais le problème c'est que je ne sais pas comment ouvrir le pc x) (c'est ballot xD).
Et puis ça me commence à me souler un peu, j'arrête pas d'avoir des problèmes de framerate sur certains de mes jeux (Team Fortress 2 en particulier, Left4Dead...Pourtant Mass Effect 2 et Modern Warfare 2 marchent très bien) et j'ai fait des manips pour tenter de corriger ça mais après je ne sais pas si ça a un rapport avec le couic couic. (les manipulations c'est surtout des mises à jours, des restau systèmes à gogo etc...).
Pouvez vous m'aider?Je ne sais pas trop comment régler ce problème de couinement.

Le couic couic peut surtout venir du kit de watercooling, qui peut sûrement être rechargé avec du liquide comme celui-ci :

Bon bien sûr il faudra enlever le ventilateur si tu veux pas foutre du liquide partout.

Concernant ton problème, je suppose que le couinement est un problème de Watercooling comme l'a précisé Juki.
Pour tes chûtes de framerates, tu devrais suivre la solution préconisée par la même personne (laisse-nous un petit compte rendu histoire que l'on puisse bien se rendre compte).

C'est plus complexe que ça ,j'ai du passer deux mois environ à essayer de résoudre le problème et c'est pas simple, entre le support Steam (pour les jeux sources) qui me répond que une fois tous les 3 jours, les forums microsoft où on tourne en rond pour au final échouer, les forums où les solutions ne marchent pas...
J'ai fais quelques trucs au final qui on refait marcher mes jeux, j'ai installé driver sweeper pour éliminer les restes d'un possible driver défectueux de mes CG, ça n'a pas marché alors ça m'a fait faire une resto système car le pc voulait plus booter correctement, ensuite j'ai mis à jour le BIOS, le driver des CG, et miracle ça a remarché...un certain temps, jusqu'à ce que je manipule Team Fortress 2 (à cause d'un tutoriel vidéo qui montrait comment upper les FPS sur TF2, ça m'a rendu le jeu moche et j'ai du bidouiller des trucs avec Direct X et quand je remettais en DX9+ le jeu ramait de nouveau) et là le problème est revenu sur TF2,Gmod...
Ca ne peut pas être mes CG car MW2 et ME2 sont des jeux bien plus gourmands que le pauvre TF2 (qui tourne même sur mon ordi portable moins puissant) et ils marchent parfaitement, de même pour Left 4 Dead 2 (par contre le 1 reste un mystère, il ramait la première fois aussi).
Si c'était les GC aucun de mes jeux ne marcherait bien, là Gmod à l'air de remarcher à peu près (mais que en mode solo, en multi j'ai pas réessayé mais ça risque d'être l'enfer).
Là je suis de nouveau avec le support Steam qui me fait envoyer un rapport MSinfo32 (via la command éxécuter), rapport qui est corrompu, alors ils me font réparer le WMI, qui ne veut pas se réparer bien entendu, avec ma malchance légendaire, et là je sais plus trop quoi, ça fait deuxj ours que j'attends leur réponse.

Good morning,
Since yesterday I'm having FPS problems when I play Team Fortress 2.
Usually my framerate turns around ~60 fps but when I played yesterday I had 20..25 fps and sometimes it dropped very far to 6-7 fps when there were some action.I tried today to see if the problem disappeared, it didn't.
I tried everything I could, defragmentation,files integrity checking, rebooting Steam/pc, lower the settings 1 by 1 etc but nothing changed, I still have very low FPS while playing and this is very annoying.
I searched through a few websites which could help me but I didn't get my problem fixed.
Here is my configuration:
Intel® Core™2 Quad CPU Q9450 @ 2.66GHz
2.67 GHz Performance Rated at: 6.0075 GHz
GeForce 9800 GTX"9800 GTX+
4GB RAM.
Windows 7 Family Premium x64.

It can't come from my rig because TF2 always worked fine on my computer, and I'm a bit suspectign Windows 7, I installed it a week ago but until yesterday I didn't have problems with TF2, I think it comes from an update I maybe did yesterday.
I've seen I'm not the only one having this problem and some persons often link that to recent TF2/source engine updates.
I also saw there is a script autoexec we can use to partially solve that but I don't want to use it because the game will lose quality, I would like to be able to play with its maximum details,as I did before that issue.
TF2 is actually the only game which seems to be really bugged,(I didn't try with Hl²:EP2 but it seems that it also has this problem, I saw some topics on forums about that) even Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 which needs a powerful machine runs perfectly without any big FPS drop.
After reinstalling the game, my problem didn't vanished so I only saw one possibility which is contacting the Steam Support for help because TF2 is one of the games I play the most with and since my fps are very low I can't play normally.

Your msinfo file appears corrupted. Please try the following steps and then recreate your msinfo file again.

1) Open up your command prompt (Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command prompt) and type:

Well,I had problems with the command prompt so I don't know if it really worked:
When I launch the command prompt without executign as administrator, if I type "net localgroup administrators NetworkService /ADD" I get a system error 5: access denied.
If I launch it as administrator I get "system error 1376: the specific local group doesn't exists".
So I typed "net localgroup" and it showed me the different groups.My computer is set in french, so the administrator group is wrote as "Administrateurs", I typed "net localgroup administrateurs NetworkService /ADD" and it wrote "the command ended correctly" or something like that, I went to back to the "Run" and entered msinfo32, I saved it again on the desktop but when I click on it to open it it writes "The system information program can't open this program .nfo. It is probably damaged or incompatible with the current version of System Informations.
When I click on OK it shows me the window with the informations of my pc etc...
I went to its properties and it shows me "size: 1,17 mb", I'm not sure to know if it's corrupted, does it depends of its size?

I think it's corrupted, so I'm going to try a MWI repair.
Well,now I tried it, but it's still bugged, and I think I did all the manipulations in the command prompt badly, I had sometimes things like "file not found",I don't remember exactly, but I can see it didn't work.
I followed the instructions from your link, but that was a bit hard, my english is not very good so I had difficulties to understand, but anyways it's obvious that it failed.
Do a system restoration can solve that corrupted file problem?
Because I think I'm going to do that, all the manipulations with the command prompt are very tiring.
I attach the msinfo file again but it's still at 1.17 MB.

Using System Restore may resolve the issue, but there may be larger Windows issues that will need to be resolved before Steam will function correctly.

Some users with similar issues have had success by re-installing Windows and re-testing the issue.

While this may not seem optimal, it may be the only solution to this problem.

Otherwise, I recommend contacting Microsoft's support department to resolve the issue.

Good evening, my question has been closed because I didn't answer for two or three days, so I'm going to repost here what was my problem and what I recieved.

Since a few weeks I'm having framerate problems in Team Fortress 2 (and later I discovered that TF2 wasn't the only game being a victim), normally,my framerate is quite good, it turns around 45-50-60... and when I play on TF2 it lowers to 25-10-5... and it stays like that.

I tested different things, I checked the integrity cache files, I did a defragmentation, I reinstalled the game 2 or three times, I tried a few commands in the launch options.
The first answer I got from the Steam Support was:

I did that, but it failed (I didn't understand everything in some steps, maybe that's why).
So I asked if a system restoration could fix the problem, your colleague answered:

I didn't find the proper System Restore,I searched for the one using the options as if my pc was new, the factory settings, but Windows 7 don't have it, so I reinstalled Seven yesterday and started installing the games again.
My configuration is good, I don't understand why I have those framerate issues, I have 4GB RAM, 2 graphic cards Nvidia GEForce 9800 GTX, an Intel core Quad processor.
After reinstalling Seven, so, I encountered again my problem in Team Fortress 2, I didn't played other steam games,except Half life 2 which works correctly, but before I reinstalled the OS, I had the same problem on Left 4 Dead (but curiously, Left 4 Dead 2 worked fine), Half-Life 2:Episode 2, for the other games I'm not sure, Portal runs under Source engine 2.0 so I guess it has the same problem, concerning Counter Strike Source,Day of Defeat Source etc I will check later but I think it will work.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 worked fine too, but this game need more ressources than TF2, so that's very strange...
I installed Windows 7 updates before I installed my games, I tried to uninstall some of them to see if it could come from an update, no success.
I don't want to call Microsoft now for that because it's a weird problem and I don't think they are specialized in these problems (even more in games which are not owned by them).
So I would ask you some help because I'm really getting tired of trying to fix my framerate issues, I tried a 3DBenchmark and it seems that my hardware is not the cause of this, I hesitate to reinstall Seven again to see if the problem vanishes or not.
I checked again for the Msinfo32 file, its weight is around 1.03 MB, if I understood well what has been said, if it's not 2MB it's corrupted?
I really need help.

Your MSINFO report is still corrupted.

If you have installed Windows 7 onto the same hardware as your previous operating system, you may have failing hardware (most likely a hard drive or the motherboard) that is corrupting the operating system.

Please run the WMI Diagnosis Utility from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=d7ba3cd6-18d1-4d05-b11e-4c64192ae97d&displaylang=en

Decompress the files into an easily accessible folder and run the script (VBS file). It may take up to 15 minutes to run.

If you have trouble running the script, please go to Start > Run or Windows Key + R and type "command" then click OK. Once in the command prompt, type "cscript " (without the quotation marks but including the space) then drag the script to the command prompt. Once that has been done, press enter.

Once the script has completed, a file called WMIDIAG...REPORT.TXT (... being system specific information in the filename) should appear in your temp folder (Open Run again and type %temp% and click OK). Please attach this file to a reply.

I have problems when I try to run the script, whether I run directly the script or via the command prompt, I have a warning message "Your default scripting engine is WSCRIPT.EXE.
Therefore WMIDiag will not produce any echo!
The script will continue automatically in 40 seconds and run silently in the background.
To see WMIDiag script activity on the screen, at the prompt, type: Cscript.Exe//H:Cscript "
Then when I click on OK I have an error message:" (Main) : Unsupported OS version or build #. "
If I click on OK, then, I have an information window which says: ABORT: WMIDiag execution aborted.Check C/USERS......... (a folder to WMIDIAG-V2.0_____name of the pc etc...).

So that doesn't work, I've updated Windows to see if it was a problem with the version but I still got those messages, do I have to look for another WMI diag tool compatible with Windows 7?
Also, I've submitted my problem on Microsoft's forums and someone answered me saying that I should check my graphic card's driver, I did, and said that I can try to update the motherboard's chipset but I'm not sure if I can do that without having problems, because once I had to flash my BIOS for another problem and it made my motherboard "dying", so I had to sent the pc for repairing.

Good evening, recently I had Framerate problems with TF2/Hl2: Ep2... but finally it ended so my games are running normally now!But TF2 still have a problem, it's not framerate, because it runs normally, but graphical.
When I had my FPS problem I went on Youtube and found a small tutorial "how to improve FPS" and that said I should type in the launch options, on Steam, mat_dxlevel 80 .
It turned my DirectX into the 8 version, on Team Fortress 2, but after removing the command from the launch option's bar, I'm still having Direct X 8 in the graphic settings, and I can't remove it and put Direct X 9+, it stucks at 8!I reinstalled the game and I saw I still have the problem, so I asked around me for help and I found "type in the launch options +mat_dxlevel 95", that works, now I'm running under Direct X 9...but the problem is that each time I launch the game I have to reconfigure my settings (so basically, everything which is AntiAliasing, antibuffering etc....) which is very annoying.
I tried to use an autoexec file but that doesn't change the things at all, so I'm requestign your help to get my TF2 working without having to configure it each time I want to play please.

I removed the launch options and after checking in which Direct X mode it's running, it's in DX8.
I didn't precise in my first message that I have FPS problem coming back, because when I wrote it I didn't have it.
Also, when I put the DX level to 90 in the launch options, when I join a server it loads and it crashes (saying that hl2exe didn't work correctly or something like that).I got this since I was trying the dx commands in the launch options.

I removed the team fortress 2 folder in my account folder and it redownloaded the updates, but when I tested I was again under Direct X 8, and when I entered on a server there weren't enough people to see if I have framerate issues but I've the impression that during a combat it lagged a bit, so I'm not sure of the result.

Double-check to ensure your launch options are clear (-dxlevel and -autoconfig launch options are the most common reason for settings to change)

Once you have done so, please try entering the following command in your console instead of as a launch option:

mat_dxlevel 95

If this fails to work, you can try mat_dxlevel 100 instead (while it may appear to say DirectX 10.0+, it will still use the DirectX 9.0c rendering path - Source does not support rendering in DirectX 10 or 11).

The 100 level may only be supported in more recent Source games, however.

I entered mat_dxlevel 95 in the console then tried to join a server and it crashed (something about "buffer" in the message), then I tried with mat_dxlevel 100, it worked but I had framerate issues.

but after trying this it didn't worked, and I was at the same time asking on Microsoft's forums about it and I got some help, it didn't work but weirdly, after installing a BIOS driver, graphic card's driver and doing a system restoration after trying some steps using DriverSweeper I had to do a system restore, and after it suddenly became normal, no framerate problem!(here is a topic I made on a website where I got another bit of help http://forums.left4green.com/topic/2882-framerate-issues-in-tf2/ ) but then, when I started touching the launch options for TF2 it came back, because I followed a video tutorial on Youtube, when I had the framerate problem before, showing how to upgrade FPS, and that caused me the impossibility to disable that Direct X 8 problem.
So after that the framerate became bad again, and I checked some of my other games (especially Garry's Mod because I'm administrator of a server, the one in the link I gave above, so I need to go there from times to times, but my FPS are also low there, so it's unplayable.) and I noticed I have the same framerate problems on them, but not all though.
If I take Half life 2: Episode 2 and Left 4 Dead, there are the bad fps, but on Left 4 Dead 2 and Call of Duty:Modern Warfare 2, there aren't any problems, they run perfectly, which is weird because they are powerful games, compared to the other ones.
So I'm hesitating between trying to do a system restore using the same point as I did when I used the Driver Sweeper method or find another solution.
The thing is that I can't really get what is causing this problem, that's not my hardware, otherwise I would get low performances on all my games.

Hello Yannis,

The following instructions describe how to temporarily disable applications running the background which can cause conflicts with Steam. These instructions are for temporary, diagnostic use only and your system should not be left in this state.

Please try this:

Click Start > Run (Windows Key + R)

Type in:

msconfig

Uncheck the box labeled "Load Startup Items".

Now, click on the "Services" tab.

Please make sure the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box *is* checked.

Then, click "Disable All".

If you are using Vista or Windows 7, please re-check the "Steam Client Service" as this is required for Steam to function on these operating systems.

To set the system back to normal, launch msconfig again and choose "normal startup", close the window and restart your computer.

Alright, I've done msconfig, uncheck Load Startup items etc... I tried Team Fortress 2 but the framerate problem is still here.
I don't know how I did fix this problem before because that could happen after the system restore, or after updating the BIOS, I'm not sure.

I've already had to do this with the first framerate problem and it seemed that the file was corrupted.
Anyways here is the msinfo 32 file, but it will fail again I guess, I just hope I won't have to do again commands using the command prompt.

Please run the WMI Diagnosis Utility from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=d7ba3cd6-18d1-4d05-b11e-4c64192ae97d&displaylang=en

Decompress the files into an easily accessible folder and run the script (VBS file). It may take up to 15 minutes to run.

If you have trouble running the script, please go to Start > Run or Windows Key + R and type "command" then click OK. Once in the command prompt, type "cscript " (without the quotation marks but including the space) then drag the script to the command prompt. Once that has been done, press enter.

Once the script has completed, a file called WMIDIAG...REPORT.TXT (... being system specific information in the filename) should appear in your temp folder (Open Run again and type %temp% and click OK). Please attach this file to a reply.

I post the same answer as the one I did for the previous ticket, because I used the same method and it failed:

I have problems when I try to run the script, whether I run directly the script or via the command prompt, I have a warning message "Your default scripting engine is WSCRIPT.EXE.
Therefore WMIDiag will not produce any echo!
The script will continue automatically in 40 seconds and run silently in the background.
To see WMIDiag script activity on the screen, at the prompt, type: Cscript.Exe//H:Cscript "
Then when I click on OK I have an error message:" (Main) : Unsupported OS version or build #. "
If I click on OK, then, I have an information window which says: ABORT: WMIDiag execution aborted.Check C/USERS......... (a folder to WMIDIAG-V2.0_____name of the pc etc...).

I apologize, I forgot that the script is incompatible with Windows 7.

Please try the following steps and then recreate your msinfo file again.

1) Open up your command prompt (Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command prompt) and type:

net localgroup administrators NetworkService /ADD

Re-create the msinfo file and open the file to make sure it's not corrupted. Attach the file with your next reply.

2) If it is still corrupted, you may need to repair the WMI. Please follow the link for instructions:

Re-registering the WMI may revert some of your Windows profile settings - ensure any important profile settings are properly backed up prior to making any changes to the WMI.

Some users have reported that after fixing the corrupt msinfo file, the original issue with the game is resolved. If you are now able to view your msinfo file, please test the original game issue again.

Your msinfo file may be larger than 2 MB, which is the file size limit for our web interface. If so, please email the file to us. Well,again I copy/paste the same answer I gave the previous time to your colleague because it's the same steps I had to follow and when I did that story of WMI it didn't work, I don't think it will work this time because I don't have a lot of new things changed on my pc:
"Well,I had problems with the command prompt so I don't know if it really worked:
When I launch the command prompt without executign as administrator, if I type "net localgroup administrators NetworkService /ADD" I get a system error 5: access denied.
If I launch it as administrator I get "system error 1376: the specific local group doesn't exists".
So I typed "net localgroup" and it showed me the different groups.My computer is set in french, so the administrator group is wrote as "Administrateurs", I typed "net localgroup administrateurs NetworkService /ADD" and it wrote "the command ended correctly" or something like that, I went to back to the "Run" and entered msinfo32, I saved it again on the desktop but when I click on it to open it it writes "The system information program can't open this program .nfo. It is probably damaged or incompatible with the current version of System Informations.
When I click on OK it shows me the window with the informations of my pc etc...
I went to its properties and it shows me "size: 1,24 mb", I'm not sure to know if it's corrupted, does it depends of its size?"

How can I see if it's corrupted? I got the same message about the program being unable to open the .nfo file so maybe that's it but then I don't really know what do do.
I didn't tried the WMI repairing because it will fail as the previous one, after that I've asked your colleague if I should do a system restore he said yes and when I did it nothing changed, TF2 was still having problems.
And after that I did everything I said in the message n°7 in this ticket, with the BIOS update etc and suddenly it worked, but I hesitate to retry that again, if it worth the try because my BIOS/Graphic card drivers are up to date.
The problem happened after the manipulations with Direct X in TF2 so I don't know what do to do about that (and if I retry the bios update etc and if it works, then that's really really weird).

If you receive this message when attempting to open an NFO file, this indicates the file is corrupt. Default behavior for MSINFO32 is to then open the local computer's information instead of from the file.

You may try using the troubleshooting steps in the following article to restore your security settings to defaults, as this is often the cause of WMI provider errors.

The "Fix it for me" section may not work as the article was written to apply to Windows XP, Vista, and comparable Windows Server versions, however Windows 7 is heavily based on Vista.

You may want to create a system restore point prior to attempting this repair to back up your current security settings.

I did create a system restore point, I followed the steps using the command prompt (I didn't used Run then cmd etc because when I tried to enter the commands it was written that I had to be administrator and I couldn't launch the Run as administrator), it seemed to work, I had success messages etc, but when I recreated the Msinfo file it seemed that it was still corrupted, I got the message while opening it.

I've entered the command in the launch options but after trying the game I still got the low framerate.

Ça fait grand max un an et demi plutôt ^^ donc ouais à l'époque c'était plus 1500€.

Mais concernant le problème ... As-tu des jeux qui ne souffrent pas de ce problème ?
Lance un bench dans 3DMark06, y a de fortes chances que ce soit matériel. Ou bien logiciel car tu dois installer Dx10 et pas Dx9 vu ton OS et ta config'.

Voilà...Désolé pour le sextuple pavé mais je ne peux pas fournir le lien (c'est un truc lié à un compte steam donc hormis moi personne ne peut le voir).
C'est trèèèèèèès long mais au moins vous pouvez voir ce que j'ai déja fait.
