Hi,
I installed my shiny ne w EVGA GeForce GTX 780 (03G-P4-2781-KR) on Saturday and I have had loads of issues with either the drivers stopping responding or games just crashing. I did a complete clean sweep of my old (ATI) drivers before installing the card and the 320.11 drivers included on the CD supplied with the card. I then tried the latest drivers and the issue remained. I decided after most of a day fiddling with drivers etc to do a clean install of Windows 7. Cue lots of driver updates and installations. Sadly, I am now left with a PC that still has the same issues, with only the Steam program, Metro Last Light, Tombraider & Payday installed on top of the Windows updates and all the latest drivers.
I have checked that my motherboard has the latest bios & updated to the latest bios for the GTX780, which had no effect.
My PC specs are as follows;
i7 930 (at stock speed)
GA-x58-UD3R Rev2 Motherboard (bios FH)
12Gig DDR3 RAM
256Gig SSD
Asus D2X Soundcard
Coolermaster Silent Pro M1000 PSU (1000watt, with 60w single 12v rail)
Corsair H50 Cooler
Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit
and of course the EVGA GTX 780.
Please, if anyone can shed any light on what the issue might be (I don't mind being told it's me!) then I'll be really grateful!
