Books are something which are felt in different way by people : you can like one whereas you are able to hate another.
Firstly, i need to confess that reading is a passion : To my mind, reading is important; it makes us travel, and across this one, we leave our world.
Then, it means you can represent someone, a person for exemple, and feel his feelings. The first type of story which make you imagine and reflect are the detectives stories:
We have this in Da Vinci Code which is a famous book and book i liked to read:
It's really gripping because you have to work out riddles with the heroes, the story take place in Paris and in the world of arts and History.
For me, an Author who symbolizes these imagination and reflections is Agatha Christie. She’s the first i read and gave me the desire to read other detectives novels.
I found also his writting very enigmatic: you were not able to know what would happened until the end. You could tried to imagine who killed who, who the murderer was, but no matter who it was, you had always false.
Second, Fantastic stories are also a good way to escape. You discover a new word, unknown to you, like his characters, environment .. “Harry Potter” or “The Lord of the rings” are two very famous and great books who can describe these things.
It shows also it can be fun to read how people could write strange stories or have strange ideas. I remind this passage at the end of Fate Stay Night where someone says :
“ I have no regrets, this is the only path.. My whole life was "Unlimited Blade Works”.
Besides bringing you in another world, it surprises you.
Finally i found an impact on my imagination in Romance stories : Indeed when you read Shakespeare ( Romeo And Juliet ) , you see love differently, it appears to you like something new and give you few sense of this one; We are also able to see that Love is still here after the century, although it changed.
That’s what I see when i compare someone like Shakespeare with an unknown author named Clement Goombo. His story about England and his romance with an English girl shows me Love changed and is complicated : In fact, this guy has been owned by his girlfriend, whereas Romeo And Juliet cried for each other. In my story, only the unlucky man is.
Through this last exemple and these novels, i can afirm that books have a particular impact in my imagination and pleassure.

To conclude and resume, I love when the story has a tricky plot and when the author misleads the reader untill the very end of the book. That's always more interesting than when we already guess what's going to happen.
Actually, it might be difficult to read some novels because vocabulary is rich and complex but it's really worth trying. It's a good way to learn new words and travel and imagine something once.
