Eidos really took the console realm by surprise when it unleashed Mr. 42´s sequel late last year, and Hitman 2: Silent Assassin is more than worthy of the Editor´s Choice award that our fellow IGN sites bestowed upon it. If all goes according to plan, Eidos will be able to translate the exact same killer third-person action to the GameCube hardware with no problems and even a few nice graphical enhancements to boot. Don´t hold your breath for any new features, weapons, or missions, but do hold your breath for all of the same bloody stealth-based action that your other console buddies have been bragging about for months. The game has recently slipped back a few months to a tentative "end of May" release date, so we´re hoping to see this one on store shelves just in time for summer vacation. Check back with IGNcube HQ regularly for future updates and eventually our final mission analysis of the long-awaited GameCube port.
