"We reported that Link of Zelda fame would be in Namco´s upcoming 3D fighter Soul Calibur 2 as a playable character, yes. You haven´t heard much about it since because Namco has been keeping it quiet. But the good news is that it still stands. In fact, whereas we originally thought Link would be an unlockable character in Soul Calibur 2, it turns out he´ll be fully playable from the start.
On another note, the PlayStation 2 version of Soul Calibur 2 will feature an exclusive playable character too: Spawn. The same can be said about the Xbox version, but I´m not sure which character will be exclusive in that one. Perhaps Blinx? I kid, I kid.
Expect more news on Soul Calibur 2, including official announcements regarding these character exclusives, early next year."
