MDR tu captes pas trop l´anglais toi : ))) ce qu´ils expliquent c´est que nintendo a revendu ses 49% de rare et qu´il s´en sépare totalement et définitivement : )) Fo faire une croix sur rare . ..
Nintendo announced today that it has sold its 49 percent share of game maker Rare, cutting off its ties to the developer of such past hits as Perfect Dark and Donkey Kong Country, and the about-to-be-released Star Fox Adventures. Nintendo will keep all of its franchises that were in Rare’s hands, including Donkey Kong and Star Fox. Perfect Dark was not specifically listed, leaving its status in the air.
According to sources, Nintendo was not coerced into this sale, but chose to end its relationship with Rare based on internal finances. Peter MacDougall, vice president of sales at Nintendo of America, was quoted as saying “we passed on this opportunity for very good business reasons.” Nintendo intends to expand its role in other projects with the money from the sale of Rare. There was no word from either company about the recent rumblings of a possible Microsoft-Rare partnership. We’ll let you know as soon as the other shoe falls, so keep your eyes on the news section.
